Jakarta, June 8, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized that the future of the creative economy will be built not only through talent and digital content, but also through the creation of innovative experience-driven spaces with economic value. He conveyed this during his visit to Wonderlab at Senayan City, Jakarta, on Monday (June 8), the fourth day of its soft opening period.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya visited and experienced one of the attractions at Wonderlab in Senayan City, Jakarta, on Monday (June 8, 2026).
"I highly appreciate the innovation and hard work of all parties involved in bringing this space to life. When local creative industries are able to translate creativity into immersive physical spaces like this, we are not only creating new economic value but also building a place where our future generations can grow into resilient and adaptive individuals," said Teuku Riefky.
Teuku Riefky added that the presence of Wonderlab demonstrates how creativity can be developed into experience-based products that generate both economic and social benefits. This type of business model is considered one of the future directions for Indonesia’s creative economy development.
"The creative economy that we are promoting as the new engine of growth is rooted in innovations that are closely connected to society. Wonderlab serves as an example of how creativity can be translated into immersive experiences with real economic value," he explained.

Teuku Riefky further stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to strengthen infrastructure and creative spaces to generate greater added value for the national economy. The Ministry’s visit during Wonderlab’s soft opening period, which took place from June 5–8, 2026 ahead of its official grand opening on June 15, 2026, reflects its support for the development of an innovation- and experience-based creative economy ecosystem.
Wonderlab is Indonesia’s first immersive physical play and educational destination, offering a new approach to supporting the holistic development of children and pre-teens. Spanning an area of 1,405 square meters, the destination, developed by PT Wonder World Entertainment, integrates mechatronic technology and multisensory design to encourage physical activity, mental resilience, and cognitive development among younger generations.

The facility features a wide range of attractions, including immersive adventure zones, multidisciplinary Wonder Classes for children aged 1–8 years, and an interactive ball pit containing 320,000 balls, making it one of the largest in Jakarta. Guided by the philosophy of mens sana in corpore sano (a healthy mind in a healthy body), Wonderlab combines projection mapping technology with movement-based activities to help children build confidence and develop the ability to face challenges through play.
"Today, too much emphasis is placed on academic development, while physical development—which plays a critical role in shaping a child’s character—is often overlooked. Wonderlab was created to restore that balance: a space where children and pre-teens can move, think, experiment, even fail and try again, ultimately growing into individuals who are courageous, resilient, adaptable, and driven by curiosity," said Belinda Luis.
