Jakarta, September 26, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency collaborates with the Ministry of Manpower in the World Cup Circuit Global Championship (CGC) Indonesia 2026, organized by the Indonesian Mobile Phone Technicians Association (TESPOIN) at the Ministry of Manpower Building, Jakarta.
Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, attends the World Cup Circuit Global Championship (CGC) Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta, Saturday (26/9/2026).
Held on September 26–27, 2026, this event is attended by 1,500 participants from various regions competing in mobile device repair skills, while simultaneously strengthening technician talent within the digital ecosystem.
“Even the most brilliant digital creativity will not reach its users if the devices being used do not function properly. It is at this junction that the talent of technicians plays a vital role. I express my appreciation to TESPOIN for organizing this event, to the Ministry of Manpower for hosting, and to all parties who have supported the execution of this event,” the Minister of Creative Economy stated during the opening ceremony, Saturday (9/26).
According to him, phone technicians play a role in supporting digital-based creative economic activities. Reliable devices serve as one of the foundations for content creators, application developers, and business actors to produce works and reach markets. Therefore, CGC Indonesia 2026 is expected to serve as a meeting point for talent, industry, communities, and the government to expand collaboration opportunities in the digital sector.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy, together with the Ministry of Manpower, will drive the digital ecosystem to grow even larger. The goal is not only to meet the need for technicians across various regions, nor just to host in our own home, but how Indonesian talents can fulfill mobile phone repair demands regionally and even globally,” the Minister of Creative Economy added.
Previously, Indonesia recorded an achievement as the world champion in the team category at CGC 2025. In this year's event, the competition encompasses device repair skills such as iPhone CPU, Android CPU, and glass repair at the national level, as well as device repair at the Asian level.
“Phone technicians are not merely people who repair devices. It requires knowledge, skill, precision, experience, discipline, and problem-solving abilities. The more advanced technology becomes, the higher the competency demands,” Deputy Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor expressed.

The government also encourages workforce skill enhancement aligned with competency standardization and certification. The Ministry of Manpower continuously provides vocational training, apprenticeships, certification, as well as upskilling and reskilling programs involving business sectors, industry, education and training institutions, professional associations, communities, and the public.
World Cup CGC Indonesia 2026 is expected to become a space for learning, knowledge sharing, becoming acquainted with technology, upgrading capacity, and expanding industry networks. This event also serves as a pathway for Indonesian talent to advance to the Asian competition level and ultimately to the CGC World Cup 2026 in Guangzhou, China. The Minister of Creative Economy emphasized four core values for participants: competence, sportsmanship, collaboration, and competitiveness.

The arrival of the Minister of Creative Economy at the event location was welcomed by a Palang Pintu Betawi performance, and the event opened with a performance of the Pesona Nusantara Dance from Sanggar Tari Laskar Sepuluh. The Minister of Creative Economy also inspected competition sessions for the CGC iPhone and Android categories, followed by a visit to the product and technology exhibition area.
On this occasion, the Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by Senior Advisor to the Minister for Public Opinion and Media Monitoring, Hasbil Mustaqim Lubis. Also present were Chairman of the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), Syamsi Hari, and Chairman of Indonesian Mobile Phone Technicians (TESPOIN), Doli Halomoan.
