Jakarta, July 9, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) is exploring a strategic collaboration with Lippo Malls Indonesia to optimize the implementation of creative economy programs throughout 2026. The partnership will focus on strengthening the creative ecosystem through talent development, expanded market access, and the promotion of local intellectual property (IP).
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar meets with representatives of Lippo Malls Indonesia during an official meeting at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
“Collaboration between the government and the private sector is essential to building a sustainable creative economy ecosystem. Shopping malls can serve as platforms where creative talent, communities, industry players, and the public come together, providing Indonesian creative works with greater opportunities to grow and generate economic value,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar during a meeting at the Autograph Tower in Jakarta on Thursday (July 9).
During the meeting, both parties agreed to develop a series of collaborative initiatives that will be implemented through creative activation programs scheduled for August and October 2026. These programs are designed to provide creative economy practitioners from various subsectors with opportunities to showcase their work, expand professional networks, and explore commercialization opportunities.
