“The presence of works by 60 members of SOVLO’s Local Illustrator Family demonstrates that Indonesia has a wealth of talent, diverse visual identities, and stories. We hope TERASI will not only serve as an exhibition space, but also become a momentum to expand networks, foster new collaborations, and create more opportunities for local creators,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy while attending the opening of TERASI at Agora Mall, Jakarta, Thursday (August 13).

The exhibition carries the theme Rumahku Indonesia (Indonesia, My Home) and celebrates Independence Day by inviting visitors to celebrate the nation’s identity through art and creativity. TERASI also serves as a reminder that Indonesia is home to diverse cultures, traditions, languages, and identities that can continue to be transformed into relevant creative works with economic value.

TERASI 2026 also expands its inclusive collaboration with Ikatan Sindroma Down Indonesia (ISDI) and Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia (YKAI) through an exclusive wearable art collection featuring works by artists with Down syndrome and child cancer survivors. This initiative not only provides a broader platform for appreciating creativity without limits, but also generates tangible economic impact for the creators.

“SOVLO is more than an inclusive platform for illustrators and the public; it is a tangible example of a creative economy that values creative works, fosters togetherness, and celebrates national unity. Through this event, illustrations are transformed into tangible products that fairly and transparently recognize the contributions of illustrators, supporting collective growth and development. This is what the creative economy, togetherness, and national unity are about: growing and developing together while appreciating one another’s work,” added the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.

Now in its third year, the annual exhibition was initiated by SOVLO, a local fashion and lifestyle brand, and also marks the company’s sixth anniversary. Taking place from August 13–17, 2026, TERASI 2026 features a series of interactive activities, including Immersive Wall Painting, TERASI Art Market, Creative Workshop & Inspiring Talk, Illustrator Meet & Greet, Drawing Competition, and the final round of SOVLO Goes to School. The event also features musical performances, dance classes, and culinary installations.

“TERASI was created not merely as an event, but as a meeting point for Indonesia’s entire illustration ecosystem, connecting local illustrators with audiences, communities, industries, and tangible economic opportunities. This motivates us to continue supporting creators in pursuing their aspirations as professional illustrators,” said Djohan, Co-Founder of SOVLO.

The event was also attended by Chief Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office, Cheryl Tanzil, and Chairman of the GEKRAF DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council, Farazandy Fidinansyah.
