Jakarta, 18 July 2026 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, attended the regional concert tour of musician lullaboy, titled Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour, in Jakarta. Her attendance reflects the Ministry of Creative Economy's concrete follow-up to the strategic meeting held with lullaboy's management on 19 June, while reaffirming the government's commitment to expanding the international network of Indonesian creative talents.

"Our presence tonight is a concrete continuation of the ecosystem discussions we mapped out last June. The Ministry of Creative Economy is fully committed to facilitating creators and local creative products so they can collaborate on the global stage. A regional tour of this scale presents a golden opportunity to introduce Indonesia's talents, culture, and creative brands to a wider international audience," said Deputy Minister Irene Umar during the event held at The Music Hall, Grha Pengharapan, Jakarta, on Saturday (18/7).
The concert served as a positive indication that the performing arts subsector can become a key driver of Indonesia's creative economy. Through the implementation of an integrated cross-subsector brand activation concept embedded directly into the audience experience, the music performance successfully became a platform for strategic collaboration. This integration effectively stimulated the growth of supporting creative industries, including fashion, beauty, culinary (F&B), and lifestyle.

"The cross-subsector collaboration showcased in this concert demonstrates that the performing arts can also serve as a powerful catalyst for elevating local products while driving the sustainable growth of our creative economy," the Deputy Minister added.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to explore opportunities to leverage Indonesia's creative assets and optimize cross-border promotional efforts. This strategy includes expanding market networks, strengthening partnerships with local brands, and collaborating with Indonesian diplomatic missions abroad to support future tour destinations.
This strategy aligns with the achievements of the music subsector, which is one of the seven national priority creative economy subsectors. In 2025, the music subsector recorded investment valued at Rp5.14 trillion, achieved a positive growth rate of 4.83 percent, and contributed 0.54 percent to Indonesia's total creative economy.

The Jakarta concert was part of the Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour, celebrating the release of lullaboy's third album. The independent musician, a Berklee College of Music graduate of Indonesian-Chinese descent, has amassed more than 200 million global streams. Attended by more than 600 audiences who filled the intimate concert venue, lullaboy's performance was highly anticipated as it featured collaborations with prominent Indonesian musicians, including Gangga, Raissa Anggiani, Novia Bachmid, and Teguh Prakoso (Tepe).
Carrying the theme Heartbreak Hotel, the stage concept was designed as a unique interactive healing space. Visitors enjoyed an immersive hotel-inspired experience, complete with hotel key cards, a photobooth, a gift shop, an emotional baggage station, and a musical performance creatively presented through the concept of a chef on guitar & keys and a bartender on drums.
After launching the tour in Kuala Lumpur on 15 July and successfully performing in Manila and Jakarta, the Hotels & Heartbreaks Tour is scheduled to continue to six major Asian cities throughout July and August 2026, namely Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul, before concluding in Singapore on 17 August 2026.
