Held over one day, the festival features three main programs. The first, Perayaan Kesadaran (Celebration of Awareness), consists of intensive training based on emancipatory pedagogy, in which students aged 7–18 create works in musical theater, dance, music, and visual arts exhibitions. The second, Residensi Pulang ke Masa Depan (Returning to the Future Residency), is a program for artists from various regions across Indonesia to conduct research, collaborate with local communities, and create works. The third, Instalasi Ruang Publik (Public Space Installation), features a signature installation collaboratively produced by architects from across Indonesia.
“Tubaba Art Festival demonstrates how art can bring together education, tourism, architecture, and the creative economy while involving communities in the creative process. This kind of collaborative model needs to be developed further so that local potential is not only transformed into creative works but also generates broader value and benefits for the community,” said the Deputy Minister.

It also seeks to strengthen the regional cultural ecosystem sustainably and provide opportunities for character education through artistic activities.
“We also want to strengthen Tulang Bawang as a tourism destination built on strong values, while connecting the creative economy and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with broader markets. This year, we will feature Voice of Baceprot as one of the performers. Their work has already reached audiences in various countries,” he said.
