Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Welcomes Cross-Sector Synergy at the Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa Indonesia 2026

Jakarta, September 15, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) expressed its appreciation for the organization of the Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa Indonesia 2026 as an inclusive platform for Indonesian Chinese women. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, highlighted the potential for nurturing high-quality talent through the event.

Wamenekraf, Irene Umar, mengungkapkan potensi hadirnya talenta-talenta berkualitas lewat ajang ini.Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, discusses the organization of the Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa as part of the Ministry of Creative Economy’s commitment to facilitating talented individuals in reaching the international stage, at Thamrin Nine, Jakarta (15/09/2026).

“The Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa has provided a platform for children to channel their potential through a prestigious event like this. Through this activity, children with talents and interests in the entertainment industry can receive training so that, after the program concludes, they can become high-quality human resources,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy during an audience with Peraga Indonesia at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta, Tuesday (15/9).

The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to facilitating the development of talented individuals and connecting them with international platforms. Alumni of the award program who have undergone a rigorous selection process are considered well prepared to meet the needs of various creative industries.

The event, which includes children’s, youth, and adult categories, directly activates the creative economy value chain. Behind the scenes, the event directly involves professionals from the fashion, photography, and performing arts subsectors, thereby creating a direct economic impact for creative economy business players.

“During the implementation, we also engage many professionals from the fashion field, such as makeup artists (MUAs), hairstylists, fashion stylists, and many others,” explained Managing Director of Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa, Nita Kartika.

Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa Indonesia is a national recognition honoring Indonesian women of Chinese descent who demonstrate dedication, integrity, and tangible contributions to society. The event aims to recognize and document the dedication of Indonesian Chinese women while highlighting them as inspiring representative figures.

The main event is scheduled to take place at Hotel Aryaduta Menteng, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Through this momentum, the Ministry of Creative Economy hopes that synergy among creative economy subsectors can continue to be strengthened to promote inclusive and sustainable national economic growth.

Also attending the audience were Founder of Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa Indonesia, Roy Mahieu, and Public Relations of Anugerah Citra Perempuan Tionghoa Indonesia, Herling Tumbel. The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by Director of Fashion, Iffah Sa’aidah.
