Ekraf Peduli: Ministry of Creative Economy Activates Red and White Creative Space in Central Aceh

Jakarta, September 19, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), through the Deputy for Strategic Development of Creative Economy, continues to support the economic recovery of communities affected by disasters in Central Aceh Regency through the Ekraf Peduli Program. Carrying the theme “Designing the Central Aceh Creative Economy Roadmap: Positioning, Branding, and Marketing,” the program was held on September 18–19, 2026, at the Red and White Creative Space in Aceh.

Secretary of the Deputy for Media Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy (Ekraf), Selliane Halia (center), poses with participants after attending the Ekraf Peduli Program, themed “Designing the Central Aceh Creative Economy Roadmap: Positioning, Branding, and Marketing,” at the Red and White Creative Space, Pendari Building, Takengon, Central Aceh Regency, Aceh, Saturday (19/9/2026).

The activity, attended by 80 creative economy practitioners affected by the disaster, provided participants with training on business branding strategies, product storytelling, and digital marketing. Participants also engaged in discussions and practical exercises to identify the potential of their surrounding environment to be developed into value-added creative products.

“The activation of the Red and White Creative Space is a creative economy strengthening program in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra that will continue to be implemented through 2028. It also encourages participants to build networks, strengthen business capacity, and optimize mentoring to create a sustainable impact on the growth of the regional creative economy,” said Secretary of the Deputy for Media Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Selliane Halia.

The Ekraf Peduli Program received a positive response from the Acting Regional Secretary of Central Aceh and the Head of the Central Aceh Regency Tourism Office. Cross-sectoral collaboration is considered important to support more targeted creative economy development while helping communities resume productive activities following the disaster.

“Through this training, we not only learned the theory but were also directly guided in developing strong branding strategies, crafting product storytelling that resonates with consumers, and executing digital marketing effectively. This provides crucial knowledge for creative economy practitioners to enhance the competitiveness and expand the market reach of local products,” said Rizqi Islami, a training participant who benefited from the program.

The activity, held at Pendari Building, featured Muhammad Hafidullah, Founder of SEMESTA Network Inc., as a speaker. In addition to receiving training materials, participants had the opportunity to develop ideas based on local potential that could be transformed into creative products with economic value.
