Five regional fashion brands have demonstrated how support from the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), through the Directorate of Fashion, has expanded market access and improved product quality, Jakarta, October 14, 2026.

The five brands are ALRAFI from the Riau Islands, Anantari from Yogyakarta, Batik Siger from Lampung, Organic Culture from Jember, East Java, and Thiffa Qaisty from the Riau Islands. One brand that drew particular attention was Organic Culture, which presented environmentally friendly fashion innovations using organic fabrics and ecoprint techniques to minimize textile waste through its signature collections, including Majestic Banyuwangi and Gujana.

“Being supported by the Ministry of Creative Economy has had a tremendous impact on our business, from increasing revenue and expanding markets to providing opportunities to participate in prestigious events such as IN2MOTIONFEST. The mentoring program has helped Organic Culture optimize its circular business model and introduce sustainable fashion inspired by Banyuwangi to wider audiences, including international markets,” said Wanda Tri Utami, Chief Operating Officer of Organic Culture, which was selected through the IDE.IN 2025 program.

Another participating brand, ALRAFI, is an alumnus of the 2025 Indonesian Creative Export Acceleration (ASIK) Program. It offers contemporary modest fashion that prioritizes comfort, versatility, and elegance across seasons. Meanwhile, Anantari, which previously participated in JMFW 2025 and the ASIK 2025 program, highlights modern luxury aesthetics through a black-and-white color palette featuring batik and woven textiles.

More than 70 percent of the natural dyes used in its products are derived from natural sources. Meanwhile, Thiffa Qaisty, which previously achieved recognition through JMFW 2023 and AKI 2023, presented its Sakinah collection of deluxe ready-to-wear Muslim fashion, combining futuristic urban designs with elements of local cultural wisdom.

“Since receiving support from the Ministry of Creative Economy, our sales have grown significantly. We have also benefited from promotional opportunities, including participation in fashion exhibitions and fashion shows, as well as training programs. Our products have reached Paris and Dubai, and we have participated in events in Russia and South Korea. Our products have also been exported to Malaysia. We are truly grateful for the many opportunities we have received,” said Thiffa Qaisty Salsabila, CEO and Creative Director of the Thiffa Qaisty brand.

The five brands, which are also members of the Indonesian Sharia Creative Industry (IKRA), received support to participate in fashion shows and operate exhibition booths through a collaboration with Bank Indonesia. The event takes place from October 14–18, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC). At the opening ceremony, Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his appreciation to all strategic partners for their outstanding collaboration, which reflects the government’s two-year commitment to strengthening the national modest fashion ecosystem from upstream to downstream.

“Through this collaboration, we want Indonesian modest fashion not only to gain global recognition but also to meet international market needs, establish business partnerships, and actively participate in global supply chains. This is our shared commitment to achieving national self-reliance and positioning Indonesia as a Global Modest Fashion Sourcing Hub,” said the Minister of Creative Economy at JICC, Wednesday (14/10).

The Minister emphasized that this event provides an important opportunity for the Ministry to strengthen the fashion subsector through expanded market access, business network development, and the responsible use of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI). These efforts are intended to help creative economy practitioners and Indonesians move up the economic ladder while contributing to the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045. He noted that technology should be used to drive innovation and improve competitiveness while continuing to respect creativity and creators’ rights.

In addition to the use of technology, the Minister emphasized that intellectual property (IP) protection and commercialization, including the protection of designs, motifs, and brands, are essential to treating creative works as economic assets that generate added value and provide optimal benefits for creators and businesses. He expressed hope that IN2MOTIONFEST x JMFW would serve not only as a platform for creativity but also as a bridge connecting Indonesian works with global industries and markets to generate tangible economic opportunities.

“High appreciation is extended to all strategic partners. According to the State of the Global Islamic Economy report, global Muslim spending reached US$2.34 trillion, with 20 percent allocated to modest fashion, and is projected to rise to US$3.5 trillion by 2029. The collaboration between IN2MOTIONFEST and JMFW 2026 is a strategic step to ensure that Indonesia remains a key player in shaping trends while strengthening the presence of Indonesian creations in global markets,” added Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Aida Suroyo Budiman.

IN2MOTIONFEST x JMFW 2026 features fashion shows, trade exhibitions, and business collaboration forums to strengthen the global modest fashion ecosystem. The integration of the two festivals was initiated through a strategic alliance involving Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Ministry of Tourism, the Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC), the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), and other relevant institutions. The collaboration formally integrates the work of JMFW, established in 2021, and IN2MOTIONFEST, established in 2022, beginning in 2026.
