IN-APPS 2026 Opens the Door for Local Applications to Enter Global Digital Markets

Jakarta, September 14, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) presented the Indonesia Apps Summit (IN-Apps) 2026 under the theme “Application as the New Engine of Growth” as part of the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026 series. The forum serves as a space for collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the application ecosystem and promote the growth of Indonesia’s digital creative economy.

The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency presented awards to 13 application developers and companies at the Indonesia Application Summit (IN-APPS) 2026 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Monday (14/9), in recognition of their works and innovations in developing Indonesia’s digital creative economy. Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, said the awards represent recognition for innovators, in line with the application subsector, which in 2025 received the largest share of investment at Rp54.18 trillion out of total creative economy investment of Rp183.01 trillion, while exports reached USD31.94 billion.

“These awards are a form of appreciation for innovators who have delivered digital solutions that provide tangible benefits to society while inspiring the emergence of further innovations. Our success will be measured by the growing number of Indonesian applications that are able to develop, compete, and make their mark globally. We hope IN-Apps 2026 will mark the beginning of more meaningful and tangible collaborations, both with national and international partners,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

The Ministry of Creative Economy and Sinar Mas Land also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Support for Creative Economy Development in the Banten International Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Education, Technology, and Health. IN-Apps 2026 also featured an exhibition area at Nusantara Hall, with participation from various companies and institutions, as well as participants from the Ekraf Pavilion and Malaysia Pavilion, bringing the total number of exhibitors to 27.

“When an application grows, it is not only the company that grows, but also employment opportunities, investment, and the nation’s competitiveness. Through this forum, I hope we can establish stronger collaboration among talent, business players, investors, and the government, both nationally and internationally, so that innovation does not stop as a mere idea, but can develop into tangible solutions that create meaningful value and benefits for society,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

The IN-Apps Digital Award 2026 covered 13 categories assessed based on six evaluation aspects through a curation process conducted by five jury members.

The award recipients included BCA Mobile in the Banking Application category, Sentuh Tanahku for Public Service Application, Shopee for E-Commerce Application, Halodoc for Digital Health Application, Dicoding for Digital Learning Application (Ed-Tech), and Kompas.com for Online Media/Cyber Media/Digital Media Application.

Gojek was selected in the Established Startup category, Rekosistem as New Rookie Startup, GoPay for Digital Wallet (E-Wallet)/Non-Banking Application, SatuSehat Mobile for National Priority Program Support Application, Peris.ai for Cybersecurity Technology Platform, Apple Inc. as Global Company Supporting the National Application Ecosystem, and OneSmile in the Private Sector Innovation/Corporate Smart Initiative/Commercial Solution Provider category.

“Government support is certainly one of the factors that can drive the growth of the digital industry, particularly in the creative economy sector. I believe the presence of the Ministry of Creative Economy is very positive, as there are many activities that we have carried out together. This demonstrates how deeply and positively the government can contribute to the future development of the digital industry,” said Head of Public Policy and Government Relations at Gojek, Rangga D. Fadillah.

Held on September 14–15, 2026, the event featured a conference on the first day, with a series of keynote speeches and talk shows discussing modern transformation, digital ecosystem connectivity, innovation, talent, and cross-border investment. The second day featured a number of keynote speeches and talk shows addressing digital economy issues, the future of Indonesia’s application ecosystem, user experience, and the strengthening of security and privacy in digital applications.

Also attending IN-Apps 2026 were Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for the Development of Youth and Performing Artists, Raffi Ahmad; Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency, Nugroho Sulistyo Budi; Governor of Banten, Andra Soni; CEO of Sinar Mas Land, Michael Widjaja; Chairman of the Indonesian Telematics Software Association (ASPILUKI), Irwin Day; as well as a number of creative economy players from Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. The Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by several echelon I and II officials of the Ministry of Creative Economy.
