He conveyed this message while attending the 3rd Anniversary celebration of Garuda TV, themed “3 Years Together with Indonesia,” at the Grand Theater of Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, Sunday (9/8).
“Looking at the digital era today, the challenges are certainly different and not easy. Therefore, we appreciate Garuda TV for reaching this point after three years. This appreciation is not only for its quality, but also because we know that Garuda TV focuses on news, sports, and edutainment. We believe these are very good segments,” said Teuku Riefky.
The Minister of Creative Economy added that the development of the media industry in the digital era is creating increasingly broad opportunities for the creative economy. Media content can serve as a medium to introduce Indonesia’s creative works, talent, culture, and various creative potentials to a wider audience.

Therefore, the Minister of Creative Economy expressed his hope that Garuda TV would continue to serve as a government partner in disseminating information while also conveying the aspirations of creative economy players from various regions.
“Garuda TV continues to report facts and convey information to the public, especially because in the era of social media, there is also a lot of misinformation. As the Government, the Ministry of Creative Economy is certainly open to receiving input and aspirations from creative economy players across Indonesia. At the same time, Garuda TV can communicate to the public the policies, achievements, and collaborations undertaken by the Government or the Ministry for the benefit of society,” he said.
Entering its third year, Garuda TV carries the spirit of “MAHAYUGA” as a reflection of its journey and commitment to continuing to provide timely, educational, and inspiring information to the public. Garuda TV officially began broadcasting on August 5, 2023, as a national digital private television network, with a vision of delivering entertaining, inspiring, and enlightening content.

One of the awards presented was the Social Empowerment Advocate Award, recognizing individuals who have contributed to community empowerment and created social impact.
The award was presented to Dr. Taufiq Supriadi, an academic and environmental law practitioner who has developed community empowerment initiatives through environmental programs, food security, the circular economy, and education based on a living laboratory approach. Taufiq has introduced various creative economy innovations, from processing catfish into shredded products and transforming drainage channels into catfish ponds while creating biopores, to empowering young people to promote products through digital content.
President Director of Garuda TV, Fahmi Muhamad Anwari, said that Garuda TV is committed to revitalizing the television industry through rapid and efficient expansion. Garuda TV aims to expand its reach beyond serving as a news platform and become increasingly accessible nationwide.
“We continue to grow. We currently reach 200 cities and will continue to expand. We are also developing regional bureaus to broaden our national coverage. We will have a total of 18 regional bureaus, with 10 already operational. Last week, we inaugurated the Bali bureau and Garuda FM in Bali. So our vision is to continue growing and spread a positive vibe throughout Indonesia,” said Fahmi.
