Minister of Creative Economy Encourages McEasy to Bring Indonesian Technology Innovation to Global Markets

Jakarta, September 12, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) encourages Indonesian technology companies to continue developing innovations that address industry needs, create added value, and ultimately enter global markets.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya considers McEasy’s development to be a positive example. The Indonesian technology company continues to develop digital solutions to strengthen the mobility, transportation, and logistics ecosystem.

“Indonesia has the talent, market, and industry needs that can provide room for technology innovation to grow, as demonstrated by McEasy. The challenge is to ensure that these innovations continue to be developed into products with added value, can be commercialized, and ultimately compete in global markets,” said the Minister of Creative Economy in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/9).

Founded in 2017, McEasy is used by approximately 2,000 companies, with its system recording around 350 million vehicle kilometers traveled each month. McEasy also secured US$9 million in Series B funding from Singapore-based venture capital firm Integra Partners, along with a growth debt facility from InnoVen Capital, following previous Seed and Series A funding from East Ventures and Granite Asia.

“Capaian ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan teknologi Indonesia memiliki kapasitas untuk membangun produk yang menjawab kebutuhan industri sekaligus memperoleh kepercayaan pasar dan investor. Pengalaman tersebut menjadi modal penting untuk membawa inovasi yang lahir di Indonesia ke tingkat regional,” ujar Teuku Riefky. The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) encourages Indonesian technology companies to continue developing innovations that address industry needs, create added value, and ultimately enter global markets.

“This achievement demonstrates that Indonesian technology companies have the capacity to develop products that address industry needs while earning the trust of the market and investors. This experience serves as important capital for bringing innovations originating in Indonesia to the regional level,” said Teuku Riefky.

The Minister of Creative Economy added that the Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to serving as a facilitator and support partner to help technology startups strengthen their journey from innovation to commercialization.

“We want to ensure that innovations originating in Indonesia do not stop at the prototype stage. Innovations must have a pathway to be developed, protected, commercialized, and expanded into larger markets. This is where the government is present to facilitate startups’ needs so that their innovations can grow into sustainable products and businesses,” concluded the Minister of Creative Economy.

McEasy Co-Founder & CEO Raymond Sutjiono said that the Series B funding represents an important step toward accelerating the company’s development of analytics and artificial intelligence technologies, while also providing capital to expand its business into Southeast Asian markets.

“This funding enables us to move from simply recording data to being able to predict, transforming nine years of vehicle data into an AI model that helps fleet operators understand what will happen next, not just what has already happened,” said Raymond.
