Minister of Creative Economy Opens Opportunities for Creative Talent in the Air Transportation Sector

Tangerang, August 23, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, commended Whitesky Group for developing an air mobility ecosystem through technological innovation. The breakthrough opens new opportunities for creative economy talent to contribute to the development of products, services, design, and user experiences.

“Advances in air mobility technology demonstrate how innovation can create new opportunities for the creative economy. It provides space for talent to develop creativity, design, products, services, and experiences that can create added value for society,” said the Minister of Creative Economy while attending and closing the Heli City 16th Anniversary Whitesky Group series of events at Cengkareng Heliport, Tangerang, Sunday (23/8).

Held from August 21–23, 2026, the event served as a collaborative forum to discuss the future of air mobility, including Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) technologies. The Minister of Creative Economy said the development of new technologies requires cross-sector collaboration to ensure that innovation can grow into an ecosystem that delivers broader benefits.

“Technology and creativity need to move forward together. We see the development of Advanced Air Mobility not only as an advancement in transportation technology, but also as a collaborative space that can involve creative talent and creative economy players. Therefore, cross-sector collaboration needs to continue to be strengthened so that innovation can create new economic value,” added the Minister of Creative Economy.

The Heli City 16th Anniversary Whitesky Group series also featured Road to Zero Carbon Helicopters 2026, which discussed developments in air mobility, technological innovation, and ecosystem readiness toward more sustainable air transportation. The event brought together stakeholders from the government, industry, academia, and the smart transportation community.

The development of Advanced Air Mobility in Indonesia is also progressing through exploration of eVTOL technologies, infrastructure development, and the strengthening of supporting ecosystems. Whitesky Group has previously established partnerships with several eVTOL technology developers to promote the adoption of next-generation air mobility in Indonesia.

The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage cross-sector collaboration to create opportunities for creative economy talent to contribute to the development of new technologies and emerging industries. These efforts are part of strengthening the creative economy ecosystem through talent development, innovation, and the creation of added value across various sectors.

Also accompanying the Minister of Creative Economy at the event was Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam.
