Menekraf juga mendiskusikan perluasan akses pasar digital sekaligus komersialisasi identitas budaya lokal sebagai mesin baru pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, discusses with the Indonesian Internet Domain Name Registry (PANDI) the expansion of digital market access and the commercialization of local cultural identity as a new engine of national economic growth, at the Ministry of Creative Economy office, Jakarta, Wednesday (21/09/2026).

“From the Asta Ekraf initiative, we have the Ekraf Synergy Program, which enables matchmaking among various stakeholders within the creative economy ecosystem through a hexahelix approach, encompassing government, academicians, the private sector, communities, media, and financial institutions. PANDI holds a strategic position in bringing digital technology and identity, allowing its collaboration to be synergized with hundreds of strategic partners of the Ministry of Creative Economy,” Teuku Riefky stated during the audience held at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, Monday (9/21).

PANDI is a non-profit association formed as a legal entity whose members consist of Indonesian internet stakeholders. Initiated by the Indonesian internet community together with the Government of Indonesia in 2006, PANDI serves as the High-Level Registry for the Indonesian Domain Name (.id) or Country Code Top Level Domain Indonesia.

“The passion of the Ministry of Creative Economy is to position the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth starting from the region-level. Creative economy hubs scattered across various regions, such as languages and scripts, must also be encouraged for adoption and growth within digital spaces. We want culture not merely as a heritage, but to enter the economic sphere so that when Nusantara Script is touched by innovation, technology, and creativity, it will possess economic value,” Teuku Riefky added.

PANDI also discussed the development of Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) for Nusantara Scripts, the launch of the Balinese Scripts, and collaboration opportunities in utilizing Indonesian domains to strengthen the digital identity of creative economy practitioners. The utilization of local scripts on domains, websites, applications, and digital content can also serve as a method to reinforce identity while opening commercialization spaces for creators and creative business operators in various regions.

Photo: Bureau for Communication, Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency.

“Domains are developed as digital assets that hold potential value, thereby enabling a domain to serve as economic asset collateral. Thus, script goes beyond mere conservation, the goal is for it to be utilized as part of creative economy content and activities, making it more than just a domain name,” Isnawan, Chairman of the Board of PANDI stated.

During the audience, PANDI also contributed an invitation regarding the launch of IDN Nusantara that is scheduled for October 2026 in Bali at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) event. Moving forward, the Ministry of Creative Economy and PANDI will continue exploring forms of collaboration that connect the strength of Indonesian cultural identity with digital technology developments, while unlocking commercialization opportunities and market expansion for Indonesian tech-based creative works and products.

In the audience, Minister Teuku Riefky was accompanied by the Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam; Director of Technology Creativity, Dandhy Yudha Feryawan; and Special Staff to the Minister for Strategic Issues and Inter-Institutional Relations, Gemintang Kejora Mallarangeng.

There also members of PANDI’s executive board, namely Secretary, Ery Punta Hendraswara; Treasurer, Andi Muhammad Natsir Amal; Deputy Executive Director, Mohammad Shidiq Purnama; and Managers, Mira Fajriyah and Rangga Danusa were present.
