Tangerang Regency, July 8, 2026 – Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya attended the opening of IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang Regency. As Indonesia’s largest exhibition for building materials, architecture, and interior design, the event serves as a collaborative platform for architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, industry players, and the public to showcase innovation in the construction sector.

AHY emphasized that infrastructure development must serve as the foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
“The presence of the Minister of Creative Economy at IndoBuildTech Expo is highly relevant, particularly for the architecture and interior design subsectors, while the construction sector also plays a dominant role. We want to build infrastructure that is accessible to everyone so our farmers and fishermen can become more prosperous and productive. Because it's not about building more, but building better, building smarter, and building for everyone,” said AHY on Wednesday (July 8).
Meanwhile, Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 represents an important momentum to strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem, particularly the architecture and interior design subsectors. Both sectors play a strategic role in driving the downstream development of locally driven creative products while expanding the reach of Indonesia’s creative industries.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to strengthening the growth of the architecture and interior design subsectors so they can make an even greater contribution to national economic growth. With more than 400 exhibitors showcasing outstanding products, technologies, and creative works—including those from the architecture and interior design subsectors—I hope IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 continues to serve as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and business opportunities for industry players,” said the Minister.

IndoBuildTech Expo is closely aligned with the architecture and interior design subsectors outlined in the Creative Economy Master Plan (Rindekraf) 2026–2045. To further strengthen these industries, the Ministry continues to build partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) and the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII), to enhance human resource capacity, strengthen the ecosystem, and foster globally competitive creative works.
IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 features more than 400 exhibitors presenting the latest products, technologies, and innovations in construction, architecture, and interior design. The exhibition also provides a collaborative platform connecting creative designers with building material manufacturers to encourage the development of highly competitive innovative products.
Rafidi Iqra Muhammad, Director of PT Debindo International Trade & Exhibitions (DITE), stated that IndoBuildTech continues to evolve as a platform that brings together government institutions, professional associations, businesses, and innovators to strengthen Indonesia’s construction industry.
“Without innovation, quality, and collaboration, development cannot generate sustainable added value. That is why IndoBuildTech exists as a meeting point for the entire industry ecosystem to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations, expand business networks, attract investment, and encourage new collaborations that strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness,” he said.

IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 also serves as a meeting point for the entire construction value chain—from material manufacturers, architects, contractors, and interior designers to end users. This integrated ecosystem is expected to create new business opportunities while strengthening the global competitiveness of Indonesian products.
Also attending the event were Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti; Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor; representatives from ministries and government agencies; leaders of professional associations including INKINDO, INTAKINDO, the Banten Chapter of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI), the Banten Chapter of the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII); as well as international partners.
The Minister was accompanied by Director of Architecture and Design Sabar Norma Megawati Panjaitan and Special Advisor for Media Rocklin Aprilius Anderson.
