Ministry of Creative Economy and AGI Announce the Top 6 Gameseed 2026 Finalists Ready to Showcase Their Talent at IGDX Bali

Jakarta, September 28, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), together with the Indonesian Game Association (AGI), officially announced the 6 best local game developers (Top 6) selected from the Gameseed 2026 incubation program on Sunday evening, September 27, 2026. These six selected developers successfully passed a rigorous selection process, ranging from the Matriculation phase and Game Jam to a six-week intensive incubation period, which concluded with an online Final Pitching session on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), in collaboration with the Indonesian Game Association (AGI), officially announces the six best local game developers (Top 6) selected through the Gameseed 2026 incubation program online, Saturday (26/9/2026).

Luat Sihombing, Director of Games at the Ministry of Creative Economy, expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the participants and the supporting ecosystem. He emphasized that this program was designed as a platform for experimenting with ideas and accelerating national game innovation.

“This incubation journey is an opportunity for our friends to test their ideas and bring new innovations to local game products. The result of Gameseed 2026 is not the end, but rather an important milestone toward a greater professional journey in both the national and global game industries,” Luat Sihombing said.

As a concrete form of support for the commercialization and export potential of the local creative industry, the six selected teams (consisting of five PC games and one mobile game) will receive showcase opportunities and the chance to pitch directly to investors and global publishers at the Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2026 in Bali on October 21–23, 2026.

Calvin Mona Sandehang, Program Manager of the Indonesian Game Association, added that this year’s Gameseed made history by featuring two competition categories simultaneously: PC and Mobile.

“Every entry demonstrates a rapid improvement in quality, both in terms of game mechanics and market readiness. These six teams have been put to the test through an intensive mentoring process with industry professionals, and we’re confident they’re ready to compete on the international stage at IGDX 2026,” Calvin said.

The grand finale announcement, which was livestreamed on the Indonesian Game Association’s YouTube channel, also served as a tribute to 20 expert mentors from the national gaming industry. During the six-week incubation period, Indonesian industry practitioners, publishers, and senior game developers provided comprehensive guidance to the top 20 teams in refining gameplay mechanics, visual direction, and market readiness.

The announcement of the Top 6 Gameseed 2026 was presented in an interactive format using the mini-game “Dodge and Miss” and a “roulette” system. Each team was represented by a character avatar from their respective games to compete on a virtual stage, accompanied by motivational messages and “farewell notes” from the mentors.
