Ministry of Creative Economy and Pena Bangsa Foundation Discuss Youth Talent Development in the Regions

Jakarta, July 2, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, discussed potential collaboration with the Pena Bangsa Creativity Foundation (Yayasan Kreativitas Pena Bangsa/YKPB) to strengthen Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem through the development of young talent across the country. The Ministry views YKPB's initiatives as aligned with its vision of fostering a competitive and inclusive creative economy.

"The Ministry welcomes this initiative and is ready to collaborate through the Scale Up Project by integrating it with programs across our various directorates. The Ministry of Creative Economy has several flagship initiatives, ranging from creative village activation to creative hub development, which can be implemented in collaboration with the Pena Bangsa Foundation," said the Minister during a meeting at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Thursday (July 2).

YKPB is a social organization dedicated to empowering young people through capacity-building programs, skills development, and community-based initiatives that create positive social impact. Its mission aligns closely with the Ministry's commitment to positioning the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth that begins with empowering local communities.

The Minister also expressed appreciation for YKPB's contribution to developing Indonesia's creative human resources. According to him, cross-sector collaboration is essential to expanding opportunities for talent development while strengthening the creative economy ecosystem throughout the country.

YKPB Supervisory Board Chairman, Sandi Firdaus, explained that the foundation carries the tagline Profession to Passion to create opportunities for young people to develop their creativity, talents, and competencies. Through its various programs, the foundation seeks to nurture productive young individuals capable of creating works that generate meaningful value for society.

"We strive to implement simple initiatives that create meaningful impact. Our focus is on collaboration—transforming our professional expertise into programs that benefit communities, particularly in the regions. We aim to nurture an inspiring and highly competitive generation of young people who are capable of creating innovative products," said Sandi.

The meeting was also attended by YKPB Supervisory Board Member Ahmad Farhan Faris; Foundation Chairman Trypama Randra Laksmana; Treasurer Prasetyo Prayogo; Secretary Kahfi Galih Nugroho; Partnership and Public Relations Division representative Ramaditya; and Program Development Division representatives Gerry and Abdul Rosyid.
