Jakarta, July 7, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) and Peris.AI continue to strengthen their collaboration in developing cybersecurity talent through the organization of Cyber Breaker Competition (CBC) Season 3. The program is part of broader efforts to build a competitive digital talent ecosystem while fostering the development of technology-based intellectual property (IP) in Indonesia.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya receives an audience with Peris.AI at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that creative economy development is not limited to conventional subsectors. Technology-driven innovation, including cybersecurity, holds significant potential to produce local talent and IP capable of competing globally.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy fully supports the organization of Cyber Breaker Competition Season 3 as part of our strategy to build Indonesia’s digital talent ecosystem. Through this program, we aim to create a space for young people to develop their competencies, collaborate, and produce innovations that add value to the digital creative industry and the national cybersecurity sector,” said the Minister.

During the meeting, the Minister was accompanied by Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology Muhammad Neil El Himam and Director of Emerging Digital Technology Dandy Yudha Feryawan. Representing Peris.AI were Co-Founder and CEO David Samuel, Head of Cyber Breaker Rheza Dio Pratama, Head of Strategic Partnership Team RRQ Amalia Hadi, and Deputy Director of Satria Siber Nusantara Afri Darmawan.

Cyber Breaker Competition (CBC) Season 3 is a continuation of the collaboration established between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Peris.AI since CBC Season 2. The commitment was further strengthened through the joint launch of Cyber Breaker Competition Season 3 at Jakarta Creative Hub on April 16, 2026, marking the start of this year’s competition series. Since its launch, the Ministry has continued to support CBC Season 3 as part of efforts to build a sustainable cybersecurity talent ecosystem. This year, the program has been enhanced through a cyber esports approach that combines competition, education, and entertainment (edutainment), with support from RRQ as an esports organization and Satria Siber Nusantara as an ecosystem-strengthening partner.

More than just a competition, CBC Season 3 is designed as a cybersecurity talent pipeline that connects the processes of identifying, nurturing, and developing talent on an ongoing basis. Participants not only sharpen their technical skills as ethical hackers, but also gain opportunities to learn collaboratively, build professional networks, and explore career and entrepreneurial opportunities in cybersecurity. In this way, CBC serves as a strategic pathway for preparing cybersecurity talent capable of meeting industry needs while strengthening Indonesia’s digital resilience.

CBC Season 3 has attracted 916 participants from across Indonesia. In addition to the growing number of participants, the competition has also shown broader participation from regions outside Java and increased involvement of female participants. The regional-based competition system has become one of the factors driving more equal access to cybersecurity talent development across the country.

Peris.AI Co-Founder and CEO David Samuel expressed his appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry in building Indonesia’s cybersecurity talent ecosystem.

“We designed Cyber Breaker Competition not merely as a contest, but as a gateway to building communities, enhancing competencies, and creating economic opportunities for Indonesian ethical hackers so they can contribute to both industry and national digital security,” said David Samuel.

Beyond CBC Season 3, the 2026 collaboration between the Ministry and Peris.AI also includes the Cyber Gig: Building Cyber Talent Ecosystem program, which focuses on strengthening digital talent capacity. Moving forward, both parties are committed to expanding cooperation in talent ecosystem development, technology-based IP strengthening, market access expansion, and business networking through various national and international forums.
