Jakarta, July 10, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) is strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem through global partnerships by holding a meeting with the Association of Indonesian Alumni of U.S. Educational Institutions (ALUMNAS). The discussion reflected the hexahelix collaboration model, bringing together government, academia, businesses, financial institutions, communities, and the media.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya receives representatives of the Association of Indonesian Alumni of U.S. Educational Institutions (ALUMNAS) during an official meeting at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Friday, July 10, 2026.
“Collaboration with ALUMNAS marks an important opportunity to maximize partnerships amid the rapid growth of the creative industry. This synergy will accelerate the transformation of the creative economy into a new engine of economic growth with global competitiveness,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during the meeting at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta on Friday (July 10).
The meeting was the second discussion between the two parties as part of their ongoing collaboration initiative. It focused on presenting strategic programs and seeking guidance on the proposed Indonesia Creative Week by ALUMNAS, a platform that will integrate a creative economy exhibition, business and investment forums, cultural festivals, and business matching sessions.
The initiative comes at a strategic time, as the United States remains Indonesia’s largest export market for creative economy products, with exports reaching USD 9.14 billion by the end of 2025. In addition, the United States was Indonesia’s largest foreign investor in the first quarter of 2026, with realized investment totaling IDR 12.9 trillion.
“The Ministry cannot work alone. Hexahelix collaboration with ALUMNAS is essential for expanding partnerships across various creative economy initiatives, especially considering the United States’ strategic role in both investment and export opportunities,” the Minister said.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026, which will be held under the theme “Inclusively Creative: Collective Continuity.” Scheduled for October 21–23, 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran, the conference will feature exhibitions, business matching sessions, and Creativillage, developed in collaboration with Kult Kreo and Screenverse, with ALUMNAS expected to play an active role.
