Jakarta, September 10, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) promotes innovation while strengthening the national digital application ecosystem through the IN-Apps 2026 Digital Application Award. The awards event, with its main ceremony scheduled for September 14–15, 2026, is part of the IN-Apps Summit 2026, leading up to the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026.

“This award is an initiative of the Ministry of Creative Economy, which recognizes that investment in applications represents the largest share of investment, reaching Rp54.18 trillion. This achievement demonstrates that the application subsector is no longer merely a supporting sector, but has become a key engine of growth for Indonesia’s digital creative economy,” said Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, during an audience with the jury of the IN-Apps 2026 Digital Application Award at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta, Thursday (10/9).
Indonesia holds a strategic position in the development of the digital economy in Southeast Asia, with a market value that has exceeded USD80 billion. This condition presents an opportunity for the application subsector to continue developing while contributing to the growth of a technology-based creative economy.
IN-Apps 2026 is designed as a platform for the national application ecosystem to come together, exchange ideas, and recognize innovations that have a tangible impact on society. Through this event, the Ministry of Creative Economy also reaffirms the government’s support for application developers who deliver creative and innovative solutions.

In addition to serving as a form of recognition, IN-Apps 2026 is intended to increase the visibility of Indonesia’s digital application ecosystem at both the national and international levels. The event is expected to create opportunities for collaboration among developers, industry, government, academia, communities, and other stakeholders.
“This award will serve as a tangible contribution from application industry players. The theme ‘Application as the New Engine of Growth’ reflects the vital role of digital applications as a key driver of growth across all subsectors of the creative economy,” explained Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya.
A total of 13 categories will be assessed based on six evaluation aspects through a curation process conducted by five jury members. The IN-Apps 2026 awards will be presented during the IN-Apps Summit 2026, which will take place on September 14–15, 2026.

The jury members attending the audience were Head of Public Policy, Indonesia and ASEAN Affairs at Amazon Web Services, Doni Eryastha; Special Assistant to the Minister of Defense for Cyber Security and Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the Indonesian Telematics Software Association (ASPILUKI), Sylvia Efi Widyantari Sumarlin; Rector/Lecturer at the South Tangerang Institute of Technology (ITTS), Onno W. Purbo; Chairman of ASPILUKI, Irwin Day, who also serves as the co-host of the event; and IN-Apps event organizer and Commissioner of PT KAYA Indonesia, Adhitya Adiguna.
During the audience, the Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology Muhammad Neil El Himam, Special Staff to the Minister for Strategic and Interinstitutional Affairs Rian Firmansyah, Director of Applications Tri Wahyudi, and Head of Bureau for Communication Kiagoos Irvan Faisal.
