"The most important thing for Imagispace in strengthening its position within the creative industry is to create sustainable impact. It is not only about delivering immersive experiences for the public, but also about generating employment, empowering creative talent, and building an Indonesian digital arts ecosystem that can continue to grow together," said Vice Minister Irene Umar during the meeting at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday (July 15).

Imagispace has established itself as an innovative platform that combines visual arts, technology, music, and lighting to deliver a new form of educational entertainment for the public. Its reputation was strengthened through its successful collaboration with teamLab in the Future Park Jakarta exhibition.

The experimental art experience attracted more than 120,000 ticket sales, engaged over 400 influencers, and generated coverage from more than 50 national and international media outlets.

During the discussion, the Vice Minister also emphasized that Imagispace has the potential to expand the utilization of Indonesia's local intellectual property (IP) through digital experiences that resonate with the public. One of the ideas explored was the transformation of Indonesia's traditional games into interactive digital experiences to enliven the celebration of the nation's Independence Day under the theme "A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia."

"Indonesia possesses an extraordinary wealth of traditions, games, and cultural heritage. The challenge is how we package them with digital innovation to create experiences that are unique, inspiring, and capable of attracting both Indonesian and international audiences," said the Vice Minister.

In addition to discussing the development of interactive installations, the meeting also addressed challenges facing the immersive experience industry, including technology investment requirements, sustainable business models, and the importance of developing intellectual property assets to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia's creative professionals amid increasing global competition.
