Jakarta, September 19, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the fashion subsector as a new engine of national economic growth to strengthen competitiveness, enter global markets, and create employment opportunities. This commitment was demonstrated through the presence of Deputy Minister of Creative Economy (Deputy Minister of Ekraf), Irene Umar, at The CALLA Club event at Senayan City, Jakarta, Saturday (19/9).

“Indonesian fashion has tremendous strengths, not only in terms of quality and creativity, but also in its cultural richness, which continues to serve as a source of inspiration. Synergy between local designers and the creative industry must continue to be fostered to create a strong and internationally competitive supply chain ecosystem,” said Irene Umar.
The fashion subsector is one of the main contributors to Indonesia’s creative economy exports. Based on Statistics Indonesia (BPS) data processed by the Ministry of Creative Economy, the fashion subsector contributed 58.55 percent of creative economy exports, valued at US$5.85 billion, increasing from US$5.58 billion in the previous period. Fashion also contributed 14.77 percent to the creative economy’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with growth reaching 5.07 percent, demonstrating the significant potential of national fashion products in international markets.
“Behind every fashion work are talents, skills, innovation, and stories about Indonesian identity. Therefore, fashion plays an important role in strengthening the creative economy ecosystem while opening broader economic opportunities through expanding business networks and increasing public appreciation for locally made products,” Irene Umar added.

The CALLA Club presented its latest Pansy Land collection, featuring 12 members of the CALLA Squad and 10 KOL Muses on the runway. The event was part of the 20th Fashion Nation, an annual fashion celebration and show organized by Senayan City. CALLA The Label is a playful fashion brand from Bandung, known for its bright colors and bold patterns, founded by Yeri Afriyani in 2017.
“Through this event, we want to celebrate CALLA’s journey as it approaches its first decade of creating. Together with the CALLA Squad, who have been part of our journey from the beginning until now, we want to bring the spirit of this community onto the runway. For us, fashion is about self-expression, having fun, and celebrating who we each are,” said Yeri Afriyani.
