Jakarta, July 16, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has reaffirmed its commitment to developing Indonesia’s digital talent ecosystem by supporting the Cyber Breaker Competition (CBC) Season 3. The Ministry’s support spans from the planning stage through to the Grand Final as part of its efforts to strengthen national cybersecurity while fostering the development of globally competitive local intellectual property (IP).
Expert Staff for Intellectual Property and Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Agustini Rahayu, delivers remarks during the Cyber Breaker Competition (CBC) Season 3 Grand Final at Garuda Spark Innovation Hub, fX Sudirman, Jakarta, on Saturday (July 11, 2026).
This commitment is in line with the direction of Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya, who previously received an audience with Peris.ai as the organizer of CBC.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy fully supports the implementation of Cyber Breaker Competition Season 3 as part of our strategy to build Indonesia’s digital talent ecosystem. Through this program, we aim to create a platform where young people can develop their competencies, collaborate, and produce innovations that add value to the digital creative industry and Indonesia’s national cybersecurity,” said Teuku Riefky.
This commitment has been realized through the Ministry’s active support for CBC Season 3 since its conceptualization stage. In collaboration with Peris.ai, the Ministry worked on designing the competition, launching CBC Season 3 at Jakarta Creative Hub (JCH), initiating the program with the Cyber-Gig talent development training, and officially introducing the competition. The collaboration also seeks to develop Cyber Breaker as an Indonesian intellectual property that integrates cybersecurity, technology, esports, media, communities, and the creative industries.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is proud to once again support Cyber Breaker, from designing the competition and introducing the Cyber-Gig program to launching CBC Season 3 at Jakarta Creative Hub. We see Cyber Breaker as more than a cybersecurity competition—it is an ecosystem that nurtures talent, innovation, and Indonesian intellectual property with the potential to grow on the global stage,” the Minister explained.

The CBC Season 3 Grand Final was successfully held at Garuda Spark Innovation Hub, fX Sudirman, Jakarta, on Saturday (July 11), attracting a total of 916 participants. This year’s competition also demonstrated the growing distribution of digital talent across the country, with the three teams advancing to the Grand Final representing not only Java but also regions outside the island.
This broader distribution of digital talent serves as an important indicator that the development of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem is no longer concentrated in major cities. In addition to the main competition, the event also marked the launch of the Cyber Breaker Bounty – Live Bug Bounty Showcase, a program that connects companies with verified ethical hackers through a responsible disclosure mechanism to strengthen collaboration between industry and the cybersecurity community.
“Cyber Breaker was created to provide a collaborative platform that brings together talent, communities, industry, and the Government. Through Season 3, we want to demonstrate that cybersecurity can be an open, engaging, and impactful field that connects the potential of young talents with the needs of industry and the nation,” concluded Head of Cyber Breaker Rheza Dio.
