Jakarta, July 15, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency supports digital innovations that strengthen the protection of intellectual property for Indonesia’s creative works. One such innovation is High Definition Extended Value (HDXV), a smart file technology that integrates digital media with copyright protection mechanisms directly embedded within the file.
The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency promotes the adoption of High Definition Extended Value (HDXV) technology as a digital innovation that supports copyright protection, digital music distribution, and the strengthening of a technology-based creative economy ecosystem in Jakarta, Wednesday (July 15, 2026).
“The Government is fully committed to advancing homegrown technological innovation. By strengthening the innovation ecosystem and ensuring robust intellectual property protection, we must ensure that the commercialization of this technology delivers tangible economic benefits for creative industry players,” said Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya.
This commitment was reinforced during a virtual meeting between the Directorate of New Digital Technology and the HDXV Development Team on Thursday (June 25). The discussion formed part of the Ministry’s efforts to identify digital innovations with the potential to support intellectual property protection, digital transformation, and the strengthening of Indonesia’s technology-based creative economy ecosystem.

The development of HDXV aligns with the Government’s agenda to strengthen national technological self-reliance, enhance the added value of the creative economy, expand the utilization of intellectual property, and build a secure and competitive digital ecosystem.
HDXV Founder, Hardiyanto, explained that the vision behind the technology is to provide a digital solution that prioritizes quality, creative work protection, and data sovereignty. In addition to supporting high-quality audio distribution and offline accessibility, the technology is expected to serve as an alternative digital music distribution model that creates added value for creators while opening new business opportunities.

As a follow-up, the Ministry of Creative Economy will facilitate a pilot project through technical validation, limited testing with industry partners, evaluation of technical and business model aspects, and an assessment of implementation readiness.
Director of New Digital Technology, Dandy Yudha Feryawan, also stated that the process is expected to open broader opportunities for collaboration. This reflects the Ministry’s strategy to expand partnerships with national innovators in order to accelerate innovation downstreaming, technology commercialization, and the development of digital solutions that address the needs of the creative economy.

The discussion also explored the potential application of HDXV to support greater transparency in license management, strengthen copyright protection, and increase the economic value of creative works. The technology is considered to have strong potential for implementation in electronic books, electronic journals, digital magazines, electronic certificates, electronic diplomas, videos, films, and various other forms of digital documents.
Through collaboration among the Government, innovators, academics, industry players, and creative communities, the Ministry of Creative Economy hopes to foster more homegrown digital innovations that strengthen intellectual property protection, drive national digital transformation, accelerate innovation downstreaming, and enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s creative economy.
