Jakarta, July 20, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency continues to foster collaboration to strengthen Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem and expand market access for creative entrepreneurs. One such initiative is The Local Market ID: Pasar Wiwitan SCBD, which will take place on August 1–2, 2026, at SCBD Park, Jakarta, serving as a platform for promoting, networking, and showcasing Indonesian creative products.
One of Indonesia's local intellectual properties, Punopals, participated in The Local Market in 2025.
The Local Market ID introduces the concept of a creative marketplace as a recurring monthly weekend event, offering visitors the opportunity to shop while experiencing Indonesia's creative products, culinary offerings, live music performances, workshops, and family-friendly activities. The event provides an inclusive platform for creative entrepreneurs, designers, artisans, artists, musicians, and community organizations to showcase their finest works.
Beyond serving as a marketplace for creative products, The Local Market ID features three main pillars: entrepreneurship, entertainment, and workshops. These segments are designed to bring together businesses, communities, and the public through commercial activities, creative performances, and learning experiences that foster new collaborations and innovation.

According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the creative economy has consistently outpaced national economic growth over the past two years, recording a growth rate of 6.86 percent in 2025. This performance was driven by the culinary subsector, which contributed 41.06 percent of the creative economy's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), followed by fashion at 14.77 percent and crafts at 10.70 percent. These figures underscore the significant potential of Indonesia's local products to continue growing through expanded market access, further strengthening the creative economy's role as one of the country's key economic drivers.
The Ministry of Creative Economy invites tenants from the culinary, fashion, crafts, and other creative economy subsectors to take advantage of this opportunity. Tenant registration is open through the Ekraf Hub platform or via https://ekr.af/localmarket until July 21, 2026. Members of the public are also invited to visit The Local Market ID: Pasar Wiwitan SCBD on August 1–2, 2026, at SCBD Park, South Jakarta, and join in celebrating the creativity of Indonesia's local talents.
