Jakarta, October 2, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) introduced the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026 series to creative communities and brands in Jakarta. This international creative economy forum will take place on October 21–23, 2026.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy and Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Irene Umar, delivered a presentation to creative communities and brands as part of the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026 events at Jakarta City Hall on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, presented the conference agenda and various collaboration opportunities to representatives of creative communities and brands at City Hall in Jakarta on Friday (October 2). This meeting is part of the Ministry of Creative Economy’s preparations to engage the creative ecosystem in the WCCE 2026 series.
“We want our partners who have been working with us to learn about the various agendas currently being prepared as early as possible. If anyone is interested in collaborating, let’s do it together. Please coordinate with our team so we can immediately discuss the technical details regarding your involvement,” the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy said.
WCCE 2026 will feature ministerial-level meetings, discussions with creative industry leaders, and business networking events that bring together entrepreneurs with potential partners from various countries. This forum will also provide “business matching” facilities to support communication and the exploration of cooperation among industry players.

The WCCE 2026 series will also feature Creative Village from October 21–25, 2026, in the SCBD area of Jakarta and its surroundings. This event will showcase various creative economy subsectors through music performances, design, architecture, lifestyle products, games, film, animation, and digital content. Activations in several public spaces are also planned to provide creative experiences for the public.
In addition to these activities, the Ministry of Creative Economy is offering local brands the opportunity to showcase their products through a welcome package for international delegates. Business players who are interested can offer products bearing the WCCE identity with information that makes it easy for conference participants to identify and contact the business owners included.
“For those who want their brand products distributed to delegates, there are two requirements we ask for. First, the product must feature the WCCE branding. Second, there must be a story behind the product, including the name and contact information of the business owner. That way, when a delegate is interested, they’ll know who to contact,” Irene explained.

Other engagement opportunities include product launches, collaboration announcements, and the organization of community events using the available spaces during the conference. The Ministry of Creative Economy is also partnering with SCBD Weekland to present creative activities that bring business owners together with visitors in the area.
UniPin’s Senior Vice President, Debora Imanuella, welcomed the hosting of WCCE 2026, particularly the sessions that bring the community together with speakers and industry professionals.
“What I’m most looking forward to are the speaker sessions, community interactions, and networking. Events like this provide an opportunity to meet in person with people we’ve previously only seen on social media or read about in the news. We can also explore opportunities together with brands, the government, and industry players,” Debora expressed.
The WCCE 2026 event, held in conjunction with the celebration of National Creative Economy Day on October 24, is further enlivened through the “Oktober Kreasi” movement. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Creative Economy is promoting the dissemination of creative agendas from various regions while expanding opportunities for Indonesian creative economy practitioners to showcase their work and build networks.
