Winning IPBA 2026 Award, Minister of Creative Economy Encourages Creative Works to Enter the Property Market

Jakarta, September 7, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Menekraf/Kabekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, received the “The National Person Supports the Enhancement of the Creative Economy” award at the 20th Annual Indonesia Property&Bank Award (IPBA) 2026. The award was presented in recognition of the Minister’s commitment and contribution to strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya receives an audience with Indonesia Property&Bank to expand access for creative works, Jakarta, Monday (7/9/2026).

Teuku Riefky said that Indonesia Property&Bank has a strong network in the property and banking sectors. Therefore, there are opportunities for collaboration with Srikandi Jaga Desa to expand market access for creative economy players, including women in rural areas.

“This can serve as a good platform to connect creative economy talent, particularly in architecture, design, and crafts, with industry needs. Their works should not only be published, but we should also encourage them to enter broader projects and markets,” said Teuku Riefky while receiving an audience with Indonesia Property&Bank at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta, Monday (7/9).

Furthermore, collaboration can be strengthened through the publication of creative talent’s works, product development, packaging improvements, halal certification, and the utilization of the digital ecosystem. The collaboration is also aimed at opening access for creative works to various property projects and developments, particularly in the architecture and design subsectors.

“We can also establish a forum that brings together creative economy players and the banking sector, so that discussions on intellectual property and financing do not stop at the conceptual level. Creative economy players need to understand how the intellectual property assets they own can be developed and generate economic value,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

Meanwhile, CEO of Journalist Media Network (JMN) and Editor-in-Chief of Property&Bank Magazine, Indra Utama, said that through this audience, his organization sees an opportunity to jointly introduce creative works and talent to a broader property market.

“We see tremendous opportunities to bring the creative economy and property industry together. Architecture, interior design, product design, and crafts are not merely components of a building or development, but can also provide added value and identity to property projects,” he said.
