YE Live in Jakarta Pre-Event Opens Access to the International Stage for Indonesian Talent

Jakarta, October 18, 2026 – Indonesian musicians performed alongside international artists at Tunnel Vision: An Ode to Ye, a show organized by Raw Vision Collective (RVC) at SCBD Tunnel, Jakarta, on Sunday (October 18). The performance was part of the pre-event series for YE Live in Jakarta 2026.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya praised the opportunity for Indonesian talent to reach the international stage at the pre-event for the YE Live in Jakarta concert at SCBD Tunnel on Sunday (October 18, 2026).

Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his appreciation for the collaboration bringing together international musicians and Indonesian talent. His attendance at the performance followed up on a meeting with RVC on September 14, 2026.

“This collaboration provides an opportunity for Indonesian musical talent to showcase its quality and creativity alongside international musicians. We hope moments like this can be leveraged to expand professional networks while increasing the global exposure of local talent,” Minister Riefky said.

Tunnel Vision: An Ode to Ye featured Tony Williams alongside Angel Pieters, Dre Synth, and Glorify The Lord Ensemble (TLE). The combination of modern music, choir performances, and traditional Indonesian instruments offered a musical exploration that brought contemporary approaches together with the richness of Indonesian music.

Beyond creating opportunities for collaboration, international performances also give creative workers the chance to participate in global-scale production processes. Musicians, promoters, production crews, and supporting personnel can gain experience that strengthens their professionalism and helps develop their skills within the national music industry.

“Strengthening the capacity of creative workers must be an important part of organizing international performances. Experience in global-scale productions can equip Indonesian creative workers with the skills and competitiveness needed to grow. At the same time, live performances create economic opportunities for various related sectors, including tourism and local businesses,” Minister Riefky added.

The pre-event series for YE Live in Jakarta 2026 also includes a panel discussion featuring Oz Taylor, a visual artist from Ye’s team, and Leonard Theosabrata, founder of Brightspot. The discussion is scheduled to take place from October 21–23, 2026. The Ministry of Creative Economy, through its Directorate of Music, is coordinating with RVC to support the series of activities.
