Bandung, 30 September 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, applauded the collaboration between fashion brand 3Second and local intellectual property (IP) Sekuya in their “Anime Gaming Collection”. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy encouraged collaborations like this as a concrete step to advance the fashion industry and help Indonesian IP dominate global markets.

“The creative economy is the new engine of growth. Indonesia’s IP potential is right before our eyes, with many having global appeal. This collaboration between local IP and 3Second is a real example of collective effort to advance the fashion subsector. Hopefully, it will inspire other brands to do the same, so local IP can shine at home and flourish globally,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the launch of the ‘Anime Gaming’ collection at the 3Second Store, Riau Citarum, Bandung, Sunday, 28 September 2025.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy emphasized that this collaboration serves as a showcase for the creative industry, connecting fashion brands with local IP. She also highlighted the Ekraf Hunt platform, which maps the creative potential of people across Indonesia.
“We have Ekraf Hunt, like a treasure hunt to find hidden gems from all over Indonesia in a digital platform. The goal is to make IP or local products more discoverable. Once registered, the platform categorizes them, connecting creative economy players with potential partners or customers through detailed data,” added Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

As a barometer of the creative industry, Bandung showcased 15 exclusive 3Second designs integrated with original Sekuya characters. Since 2002, 3Second has been a local fashion brand for youth seeking trendy, energetic, active, and creative styles.
“Indonesian creativity is extraordinary. People just need to be encouraged to appreciate local works. 3Second is very open to collaborating with other local IPs to advance the fashion subsector,” said 3Second CMO, Ignatius Untung.
Sekuya CEO, Joshua Budiman, added that strong collaborations can open opportunities for local brands to reach global markets. The anime-inspired designs of Sekuya complement 3Second’s streetwear identity beautifully.

The partnership with 3Second started from a shared vision and brings fresh energy to advance Indonesia’s creative economy. With this momentum, many local IPs can create works with tremendous potential, ready to go global,” said Joshua Budiman.
Following the official launch of the fashion collection, the event continued with a store tour and product experience. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene was accompanied by Dessy Widowati, Head of Fashion Marketing and Commercialization Sub-Directorate. Other attendees included CEO Biensi, Hirman Rivano; Biensi Commissioner, Hestiendahsari; and CIO Infia Corp, M. Noviar Rahman.
