Jakarta, 28 April, 2026 – The Task Force for Accelerating Government Programs to Support Economic Growth (Satgas P3M-PPE) will accelerate national economic growth through strategic, integrated, and monitoring- and evaluation-based measures. The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, as part of Satgas P3M-PPE, will strengthen Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and optimize priority subsectors such as games, animation, digital content, and applications to sustain investment momentum.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the first meeting of the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programs to Support Economic Growth (P3M-PPE) at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/4/2026).
“The first meeting of this task force aims to accelerate economic growth programs such as economic packages, economic stimulus, government priority programs, and the main programs of several ministries and agencies in accordance with the President’s directives. Regarding the Indonesia Financial Center (IFC), we will later establish a dedicated task force, including regulatory frameworks from both the government and the House of Representatives. It is expected to become an alternative option amid global tensions, with Bali as a potential location,” said the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, while leading the inaugural meeting of the task force on Wednesday (28/4).
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, welcomed the plan to develop the IFC, which is envisioned not only as a financial hub but also as a center for lifestyle, culture, and the creative economy. Strengthening digital infrastructure, including the development of data centers in the SEZs of Batam and Bitung, is also part of the promoted strategy.
“We are ready to be involved in building the ecosystem as a supporting partner, including regulatory frameworks, proposed incentives, and talent development. This is also important to ensure that the IFC becomes a bridge for Indonesian creators to access intellectual property (IP), financing, and royalty-based financing,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.
