Jakarta, December 19, 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency facilitated the production of music videos for two talents from Palu, Central Sulawesi—Rival Himran and The Box Band—through the AKTIF (Creative Acceleration) Music program. Implemented by the Deputy for Media Creativity, the program aims to strengthen regional musical identity by integrating local wisdom into works that meet modern industry standards.
Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif memfasilitasi produksi video musik dua talenta asal Palu, Sulawesi Tengah, Rival Himran dan The Box Band, melalui program Akselerasi Kreatif (AKTIF) Musik.
“Through AKTIF Music, we want to ensure that regional music talents have the space to grow, experiment, and promote their works more professionally. Locality should not be abandoned; instead, it should become a core strength so that Indonesian music has a strong identity and global competitiveness,” said Deputy for Media Creativity of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Agustini Rahayu.
Both musicians were selected through a local curation process involving Buddy Ace, a music journalist, music business practitioner, and creative community driver in Central Sulawesi. Rival Himran is known as the bassist of the national reggae band Steven and Coconuttreez, as well as a solo musician who consistently incorporates the cultural values of Tanah Kaili into his works. Meanwhile, The Box Band is a rock music group distinguished by its fusion of traditional musical elements with a modern musical approach.
The music video for Rival Himran’s song “La Vita E Bella” was directed by M. Anrio in collaboration with Wara Wiri Project, with filming conducted at the Central Sulawesi Pavilion, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta. The song blends four languages—Kaili, Indonesian, English, and the Italian phrase La Vita E Bella, meaning “Life Is Beautiful”—reflecting a message that celebrates life in all its joys and challenges.

Meanwhile, The Box Band produced the music video for the song “Tadulako,” which portrays the legendary war commander of the Kaili people as a symbol of courage and heroic values. The production process took place over three days across five locations in Central Sulawesi: Kuala Porame, the Perumnas liquefaction site, the Petobo liquefaction site, Tadulako University, and the Kabonena area. The video was directed by Fadly in collaboration with Pado Project and was also monitored by representatives of the Presidential Staff Office on the first and second days of production.
Further, Agustini Rahayu explained that AKTIF is a program designed to integrate local musicians into the music industry by supporting promotion and distribution of creative works, while also enhancing understanding of professionalism and intellectual property rights management.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy oversees all aspects related to economic value creation. In the music subsector, this value addition lies in opening distribution and commercialization channels for music talents, as well as managing the intellectual property rights they possess,” she explained.
In line with the direction of Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya, the implementation of AKTIF Music in Central Sulawesi is expected to inspire creative economy talents in the regions to strengthen hexahelix collaboration among government, academia, businesses, communities, media, and other supporting sectors. Through this approach, the music subsector is expected to make a tangible contribution to positioning the creative economy as the new engine of growth for national economic development, starting from the regions.
