Jakarta, January 15, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, held an audience with representatives from Backstagers Indonesia at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky recognized Backstagers as one of Indonesia's largest and most experienced event organizer communities, with significant potential to contribute to the development of the creative economy. This meeting is expected to mark the beginning of a synergistic collaboration, offering solutions to current challenges and strengthening Backstagers' position within the creative industry.
"Backstagers has been an established organization for quite some time, though it faces several challenges such as operational issues, licensing, and others. We will schedule a follow-up to explore the potential of this collaboration," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
He further emphasized that supporting Backstagers' journey towards international federation status requires strategic research and connections. This will help Backstagers expand its network, enhance its capabilities, and strengthen its position on the global stage.
"In addressing challenges like operations and licensing, the Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting Backstagers through assistance with international conference activities and research support," Riefky added.
During the meeting, Backstagers Indonesia Chairman, Andro Rohmana, appreciated the positive response from the Minister, particularly the offered support for research initiatives and collaboration with international federations. This meeting is expected to clarify and strengthen the partnership between Backstagers Indonesia and the Ministry of Creative Economy.
"The Minister of Creative Economy gave an exceptional response, including support for exploring research collaborations to meet the standardization requirements of international federations partnering with Backstagers," stated Andro Rohmana.
The meeting was also attended by Agustini Rahayu, Deputy for Media Creativity, and Cecep Rukendi, Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy.
