Jakarta, March 12, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency continues to intensify its collaborations to elevate Indonesia’s creative economy to the global stage. One of the strategic steps forward is strengthening its partnership with InJourney.

The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, held a follow-up meeting with InJourney to further this collaboration. The partnership includes the development of relevant tourism infrastructure and the utilization of marketing platforms to support creative economic activities.
“The collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and InJourney is a key strategy to enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s creative economy through increased efficiency and innovation,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Several tangible examples of this collaboration include the creation of a game corner at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which has become a new attraction for travelers, as well as reading corners and merchandise stores at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), showcasing local intellectual property (IP) works. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that this strategic collaboration aims to boost the creative economy by strengthening efficiency, effectiveness, and global competitiveness.
As a follow-up, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to assist with the curation and implementation of appropriate programs in collaboration with creative economy stakeholders. The goal is to enhance their capacity and ability to develop a more innovative and sustainable creative economy.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting the development of targeted programs that will empower creative economy players in building a sustainable creative economy,” Irene affirmed.
Meanwhile, Ishak Reza, Creative Advisor at InJourney, stated that the collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and InJourney is a strategic effort to strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy and tourism. This initiative focuses on four key areas:
Integration of local IPs across all InJourney assets
“IP Villages” that bring together local IPs and creative culinary products
“Indonesia Masterpiece” exhibitions showcasing works of batik and graphic design masters
Indonesia Game Week, promoting local game developers.

“This strategic collaboration between the creative economy sector and InJourney aims to advance Indonesia’s creative economy and tourism through effective synergy,” said Ishak Reza.
Ishak also expressed his hope that the collaboration will bring positive social impact to local communities, promote Indonesian IPs internationally, raise awareness about the importance of preserving local IPs, and serve as a stepping stone for the sustainable growth of Indonesia’s creative economy and tourism.
