Collaboration Between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Presidential Staff Office Encourages an Inclusive and Sustainable AKTIF Music Program

Yogyakarta, August 4, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy, together with the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), conducted a field verification visit to ensure the proper implementation of the Creative Acceleration Program (AKTIF) Music Program is proceeding as planned. The Director for Music of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Mohammad Amin, accompanied by Cheryl Anelia Tanzil, Senior Expert at the Deputy V Office of KSP, visited 2 strategic talent development locations for young musicians, SMK Negeri 2 Kasihan and Studio Mabes Balker in Bantul, on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Kolaborasi Kementerian Ekraf dan KSP Dorong Program AKTIF Musik yang Inklusif dan Berkelanjutan, Yogyakarta, Senin (04/08/2025).

“This is the kind of cross-sector collaboration we aim to foster among professional musicians, educators, students, MSME actors, and communities. It’s not just about music, but about building an inclusive and sustainable creative ecosystem,” said Mohammad Amin.

The AKTIF Music Program is a collaborative initiative that unites the strength of art communities, the education sector, musicians, and creative economy players. It represents a transformation of the National Priority Program, directly monitored by KSP. The program has facilitated the production and release of the music video “Wong Sepele,” a collaboration between musician Ndarboy Genk and blind singer Fauzi Haidi, created in partnership with the Mabes Balker Community.

Through the participation of creative economy players, the AKTIF Music Program emphasizes that everyone can create and that physical limitations are not barriers to contributing to the creative industry. This aligns with the vision of positioning the creative economy as the new engine of growth, starting from the regions by opening wide opportunities for cross-community collaboration and diverse talents.

“Many dangdut koplo musicians are well-known, but we chose Ndarboy Genk because of his commitment to serving as the locomotive brand that drives the Balungan Kere Creative Community, which includes around 250 members in Yogyakarta. This is aligned with the concept of the AKTIF Program, which views music as a tool for community development,” explained Mohammad Amin.

As a concrete form of this collaboration, several students from SMKN 2 Kasihan participated as orchestral musicians in the production of the “Wong Sepele” music video, which was simultaneously released across various digital platforms on July 14, 2025. This collaboration served as a valuable learning experience and a testament that students’ talents can be developed through direct involvement in professional production.

Meanwhile, Studio Mabes Balker in Bantul, the main production site for the “Wong Sepele” video, was also part of the field visit. The studio not only provides technical production facilities but also functions as a collaborative space that engages members of the Mabes Balker Creative Community in the production process, from audio technicians, video crews, art directors, and post-production editors to distribution and promotion teams. This involvement reinforces the spirit of community empowerment and collaboration among local creative industry players.

The field verification, welcomed by Ndarboy Genk and the Mabes Balker community, also featured participation from local MSME players. Several small business owners showcased their unique products, including traditional foods, handicrafts, and creative music accessories.

The presence of MSMEs added a new dimension to the event as a meeting point between art, the local economy, and the community. The results of this field verification will serve as a crucial foundation for designing the next stages, including production workshops, cross-genre collaborations, and showcases of new works from Yogyakarta’s creative generation. The Ministry of Creative Economy remains committed to promoting equitable development, ensuring that independence and progress are realized through the growth of creative economy ecosystems across Indonesia.
