Jakarta, January 23, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has collaborated with 13 Nadi to help content creators become more aware of the importance of Intellectual Property (IP) protection. Through a program called "Content to The Next Level," Ministry of Creative Economy encourages Indonesian content creators to recognize Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

13 Nadi is a multi-channel network that is ready to collaborate and assist content creators in Indonesia through its experience in various aspects of managing and mentoring digital creative content.
At a press conference held at Artotel Suites Mangkuluhur, South Jakarta (23/1/2025), Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, accompanied by Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam, and Director for Digital Content, Yuana Rochma Astuti, stated that the purpose of the "Content to The Next Level" program is to raise awareness among Indonesian content creators about the importance of Intellectual Property.
"The problem is that many creators are unaware of copyright issues. Therefore, the issue of Intellectual Property (IP) needs to be widely disseminated so that content creators understand their rights over their creations. We at Ministry of Creative Economy want to sit together to find solutions. Up to now, who pays whom? And what about other parties who also benefit financially from someone else's content? These questions need clarity and solutions," explained Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene in her speech.

IP protection is essential to give creators more control over their content, which is often reuploaded, ensuring that content creators maintain authority over their reuploaded works. Through the "Content to The Next Level" program, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy aims to create a supportive and protective ecosystem for content creators, whose numbers are rapidly growing in Indonesia.
Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology, Muhammad Neil El Himam, explained that one of the fundamental issues in the content creator industry is the low revenue per mille (RPM) and cost per mille (CPM) in Indonesia.
"This is due to platform policies that are not always transparent and do not always favor creators, as well as the lack of knowledge and awareness among creators regarding copyright over their content assets," Neil explained.
Yuana Rochma Astuti, Director of Digital Content at the Ministry of Creative Economy, stated that TikTok currently has 153 million users in Indonesia, with 8 million content creators, 53% of whom earn above the minimum wage.
"The contribution of YouTubers is also significant, generating an economic impact of IDR 7.8 trillion per year and creating jobs for approximately 400,000 people. Moving forward, this can be further improved if they understand how to protect their Intellectual Property. Content creators have massive earning potential, with many monetization channels available. The more they understand, the more prosperous they can become," Yuana elaborated.

The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency hopes that the rapid growth of Indonesian content creators can have a positive impact and generate maximum economic value. Through the "Content to The Next Level" program, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency aims to provide facilities to enhance literacy and knowledge regarding IP protection.
"We want content creators to register for our classes because when we socialized this issue, many big YouTubers admitted they didn't know how to claim revenue when their content was reuploaded by others. We want to raise awareness that Intellectual Property is the heart of the creative economy. Without understanding it, the creative economy cannot be well-managed," Yuana explained.
Yuana also emphasized that "Content to The Next Level" is part of the government’s Quick Win program.
"Previously, we had the 'Emak-Emak Matic' program, which taught content creators and affiliates. Now, 'Content to The Next Level' follows to provide a comprehensive understanding regarding IP," Yuana concluded.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, also gave recognition to five YouTuber representatives: Leika Garudita, Alfarid Ramadani (Omped Visual), Yudist Ardhana, Windah Basudara, and Zuniyati (Zuni and Family), who have demonstrated extraordinary creativity in their respective fields.
Also accompanying the Deputy Minister were Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu, and Director for Intellectual Property Facilitation Development, Muhammad Fauzy.
