Creative Economy Agency Expands Market Access for Regional Creative Economy Products Through IDE.IND 2026

Yogyakarta, June 13, 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed appreciation for the public enthusiasm toward the implementation of IDE.IND 2026 as part of Creative by Indonesia, held at Plaza Malioboro, Yogyakarta, on Saturday (12/6). He stated that the event is not merely an exhibition or creative economy activation, but also a collaborative space.

The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, visited various creative booths at IDE.IND 2026 as part of Creative by Indonesia, held at Plaza Malioboro, Yogyakarta, on Saturday (12/6/2026).

The Minister explained that through IDE.IND 2026, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency provides a collaborative space that brings together creative economy actors, communities, government, the business sector, and the public within an interconnected ecosystem.

“A space to introduce works, build networks, open business opportunities, and expand market access for Indonesian creative products. Through IDE.IND, we want to ensure that local creative works and products are not only recognized in their regions of origin, but also have the opportunity to grow into national products and even go global,” said the Minister.

Therefore, in addition to the exhibition, the event also featured talk shows, creative product promotions, community activations, and various forms of collaboration across 21 creative economy subsectors. A total of 20 local brand booths representing 11 creative economy subsectors, ranging from crafts, fashion, and culinary to games and animation, were presented as a space for promotion and direct interaction between creative business actors and the public.

This year, IDE.IND is implemented through cross-subsector collaboration within the Ministry of Creative Economy. The objective is to ensure that the impact of the event does not end as a single activity, but becomes part of a broader effort to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem in a sustainable manner.

“Our hope is simple: the more space available for creative actors to grow, the stronger Indonesia’s creative economy will become as The New Engine of Growth,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yogyakarta was selected as the first city and province to host IDE.IND 2026 due to its strategic position within Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem. The city is not only known as a cultural hub, but also as a place where many creative talents, communities, creative entrepreneurs, and collaborative spaces are born, grow, and organically thrive.

The Special Region of Yogyakarta Provincial Government welcomed the implementation of IDE.IND 2026, which is considered aligned with efforts to strengthen a creative economy ecosystem based on culture, innovation, and digital transformation. The Secretary of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti, stated that the development of the creative economy requires integrated support ranging from capacity building for business actors, intellectual property protection, to broader market access.

“Subsectors such as culinary, fashion, and crafts are not merely industrial categories. They are ways in which Yogyakarta expresses its identity to the world, while demonstrating that cultural identity and economic competitiveness can go hand in hand. Therefore, we appreciate the implementation of IDE.IND as a platform that brings together creativity, innovation, and economic opportunities for the community,” said Ni Made.

The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency hopes that IDE.IND 2026 Yogyakarta will become a strong starting point to further strengthen Indonesia’s national creative economy ecosystem, while inspiring other regions across Indonesia to continuously develop their own creative potential.
