Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Ekonomi Kreatif dan KBR Media, dorong penguatan talenta kreatif digital melalui Podcaster Hunt Batch #7 di Big Land Hotel, Bogor, Sabtu (6/12/2025).
“Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest podcast audience in the world. But we must not remain only as consumers. Through Podcaster Hunt, we encourage young people to become producers of high-quality digital creative content, bringing forward positive narratives and generating economic impact,” said Director of Television and Radio at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Pupung Thariq Fadhillah, on Monday, 8 December 2025.
According to the We Are Social 2025 report, Indonesia ranks as the country with the highest number of podcast listeners globally, with 42.6 percent of internet users aged 16 and above tuning in to on-demand audio content weekly. This significant figure presents both an opportunity and a challenge to deliver superior audio content amidst rising competition in the digital industry.
Pupung emphasized that every podcaster holds an important responsibility in producing quality content as part of the digital creative ecosystem.
“Podcasts are not merely entertainment; they shape public opinion and reflect the character of a nation. As part of the digital audio subsector, we encourage participants to create content that is inspiring, constructive, and brings positive impact both to society and to the growth of Indonesia’s creative industry,” Pupung added.

Meanwhile, Don Brady Purba, Business & Communication representative of KBR Media, highlighted that Podcaster Hunt has been held since 2021 and continues to grow, now entering its seventh batch. This year, Podcaster Hunt Batch #7 is delivered in collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy.
“The enthusiasm is remarkable. From 115 submissions, we selected 24 podcasters from Greater Jakarta through a rigorous process. All participants already manage active podcast channels. The challenge now is no longer how to start, but how to make their content stand out, have strong character, and remain sustainable in a highly competitive industry,” Don said.
“We want participants to return home with real, applicable skills—not only technical abilities, but also an understanding of how podcasts can deliver value, relevance, and economic potential,” he added.
The two-day bootcamp offered intensive training covering idea development, production techniques, distribution strategies, and content character building. Participants also had the opportunity to publish their work in the official Podcaster Hunt KBR.ID album, obtain certification, and expand their networks within the national creative ecosystem.

“This collaboration reflects the commitment of the Ministry of Creative Economy in strengthening digital creative talent, particularly in the digital audio field, enabling them to grow as the new engine of growth and to open new economic opportunities through digital creativity,” Pupung stated.
As the program concludes, five of the best themes from participants will be produced and fully supported by KBR Media, including funding and publication through the official Podcaster Hunt KBR.ID album. The event also featured prominent speakers, including Eky Priyagung (podcaster and comedian), Puri Anindita (podcaster and communication trainer), and producers from KBR Media.
