Jakarta, August 22, 2025 — Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar attended the 36th anniversary celebration of RCTI titled “Spectacular Celebration.” Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene praised the creativity of media professionals, which she believes has met global standards.

“Amazing, for me this is already world class. The stage is grand and spectacular. This shows that the capacity of Indonesian creative professionals has successfully reached global standards,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the event held at the RCTI+ Studio, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Friday (22/8).
The event was a large-scale music concert that brought cross-generation collaboration from various musical genres, presenting top national artists while demonstrating how television, as an essential subsector of media, contributes significantly to driving the national creative economy ecosystem. The presence of Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene alongside representatives from other ministries also highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration in supporting the growth of the entertainment and media industry. This synergy further reinforces that the creative economy can only thrive through an interconnected ecosystem.

The 36th Anniversary Celebration of RCTI was enlivened by performances from leading musicians such as Dewa 19, Lyodra, JKT48, Kangen Band, Judika, Rossa, Raisa, and Eka Gustiwana, along with many other performers from different generations. Their presence not only entertained audiences but also demonstrated the strong potential of the Indonesian music industry.
More than just a concert, the event showcased the strategic role of television as a medium for delivering creative content. Stage production involving design, lighting, visuals, technology, and cross-generational collaboration reflects how the entertainment and media industry serves as a key driver within the creative economy ecosystem.
