Jakarta, June 5, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) supports the implementation of the Jakarta Future Festival (JFF) 2026, held from June 4–6 at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta. The festival serves as a platform for cross-sector collaboration to strengthen Jakarta’s position as a resilient, inclusive, and open global city as it approaches its fifth century.
Deputy Minister for Creative Economy, Irene Umar, attended the opening of Jakarta Future Festival (JFF) 2026 at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Jakarta, Friday (June 5, 2026).
Deputy Minister for Creative Economy Irene Umar stated that JFF serves as a platform that brings together innovation, talent, and creative energy to generate solutions for the future of urban development.
“Jakarta citizens’ creativity is the primary asset of a collaborative city-making ecosystem that translates public participation into urban resilience with a global impact,” said the Deputy Minister for Creative Economy in Jakarta on Friday (June 5).
Carrying the theme “Navigating Resilience,” JFF 2026 brings together government institutions, creative economy stakeholders, international partners, communities, and younger generations to discuss Jakarta’s future direction while strengthening a globally competitive creative economy ecosystem. Throughout the three-day festival, more than 500 collaborators are involved, featuring 15 activation points, 25 entertainment performances, 30 community activities, 35 culinary tenants, and 35 local intellectual properties (IPs) showcased in the creative market.

“The creative economy continuously creates opportunities for city residents to stay connected through tangible collaborative actions. When creativity is combined with culture, technology, and global networks, Jakarta will have a stronger capacity to grow sustainably,” added the Deputy Minister for Creative Economy.
JFF 2026 was officially opened with a dialogue session featuring Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, who emphasized that Jakarta’s development should focus not only on physical infrastructure but also on improving quality of life and ensuring equal access to opportunities for all residents.
“Jakarta will become a better city when all its residents have equal opportunities to grow. Therefore, investment in education, healthcare, and spaces that support the development of younger generations serves as the main foundation for building a fair and inclusive global city,” said Pramono Anung.

“Amid an ever-changing geopolitical landscape, collaboration between cities has become increasingly important. Berlin and Jakarta demonstrate that partnerships built on trust can create tangible cooperation, connect talents, and shape a more resilient shared future,” said Marten Rauschenberg.
