Deputy Minister for Creative Economy Encourages The Elite Indonesia to Strengthen the Creative Automotive Ecosystem

Jakarta, May 13, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, encouraged The Elite Indonesia to help strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem, particularly in the automotive sector. The community is also expected to support the expansion of international networks for Indonesia’s automotive modification industry and automotive communities.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, received an audience with The Elite Indonesia at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/5/2026).

The Deputy Minister assessed that the creative industry within the automotive sector holds significant power in connecting communities, creators, technology, art, and lifestyle into one ecosystem capable of generating tangible economic impact.

“The creative economy is not only about products and works, but also about creating experiences and collaborations, including with automotive communities,” said Irene Umar during a meeting with CEO of The Elite Indonesia, Gatot Mulyartho, at the Ministry of Creative Economy office on Wednesday (13/5).

Irene Umar also emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in organizing events and exhibitions to reach wider audiences.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy wants Indonesia’s automotive events to evolve into inclusive and internationally recognized creative platforms. Not merely vehicle exhibitions, but also spaces for photographers, artists, content creators, designers, as well as gaming and technology players to collaborate,” added Irene Umar.

The Elite Indonesia serves as a platform for four-wheel and two-wheel automotive communities to expand and develop the national modification ecosystem, bringing domestic automotive industry creations onto the global stage.

Previously, the community successfully organized The Elite Showcase, an annual modification exhibition that serves as a collaboration and activation platform ranging from automotive vehicle launches, die-cast competitions, to the appearance of international guest star Sung Kang last weekend.

During the audience, The Elite Indonesia also conveyed plans to develop creative automotive events so they can participate in international exhibitions, including in Japan. In addition to showcasing modified vehicles, The Elite Indonesia hopes to introduce Indonesia’s creative identity through design, architecture, and various creative products supporting the automotive industry.
