Jakarta, 15 January 2026 — The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy / Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, visited the Astra Karya Bazaar together with Jadi Gini Belajar Bersama (JGBB), a collaborative platform that brings together corporations, communities, and creative economy players to expand market access for local creative products. The Deputy Minister commended the bazaar as a space for collaboration and learning that generates tangible impact for creative economy actors.
The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, visited the Astra Karya Bazaar together with Jadi Gini Belajar Bersama (JGBB) at Astra Gallery, Menara Astra, Jakarta, Thursday (15/1/2026).
“Bazaars like this are not merely exhibition spaces, but also arenas for interaction and transactions that open real opportunities for MSMEs and local creators to move up the value chain. This is a form of collaboration that positions the creative economy as the new engine of growth,” said Deputy Minister Irene Umar at the Astra Karya Bazaar held at Astra Gallery, Menara Astra, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the creative economy plays a strategic role in driving national economic growth, particularly through the creation of quality jobs and the enhancement of value-added local products. Activating creative spaces such as bazaars serves as an important means to connect business creativity with market demand, while also opening opportunities to strengthen capacity and competitiveness of Indonesian creative products.

The Astra Karya Bazaar, held from 13–15 January 2026, was part of a series of appreciation events for the Astra Photo Competition and Astra Journalist Awards 2025. The program featured exhibitions of visual works, local creative products, and various interactive activities involving communities and the general public.
A wide range of MSME products and creative works were showcased at the bazaar, including crafts, fashion, and culture-based products, reinforcing its educational value and contribution to creative economy empowerment. Deputy Minister Irene Umar assessed Astra’s initiative in collaboration with the JGBB community as aligned with the hexahelix collaboration approach, involving government, business, communities, academia, and media in building a sustainable creative economy ecosystem.
“The involvement of the private sector in opening curated spaces and promotional platforms for local creative products is key to ensuring that creative economy actors not only survive, but are also able to grow and develop sustainably,” said Deputy Minister Irene Umar.
