Jakarta, 5 April, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), in collaboration with The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, presented the Easter Fair as a family-oriented Easter celebration infused with innovation through an educational approach and creativity rooted in local wisdom. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, expressed high appreciation for this synergy as a concrete step in strengthening the national creative economy ecosystem.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, attended the Easter celebration focused on cultural heritage education at the Easter Fair, a collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, on Sunday (April 5, 2026).
“At the Easter Fair, our role is not as a director, but as an enabler and strategic matchmaker. We bring together premier venues like The Dharmawangsa with the nation’s creative talents. This collaboration proves that when hospitality meets creativity, it creates an unforgettable experiential ecosystem,” said the Deputy Minister in her remarks.
The Easter Fair not only created a space for family togetherness but also effectively contributed to preserving national identity while generating added economic value for creative practitioners. The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to building inclusive cross-sector collaborations, with the Deputy Minister emphasizing that such synergy is crucial in strengthening national identity amid the rapid dynamics of the modern era.
“This is the strength of our creative economy—transforming cultural heritage into experiences that are engaging, educational, and value-adding,” she explained.
A variety of engaging activities enlivened the event, including cooking classes and egg-decorating workshops for children, as well as a range of Nusantara culinary booths for visitors. The event also featured a Board Games Corner themed around traditional games and cultural workshops such as batik-making, shading, and calligraphy. Visitors could also join a herbal drink-making demonstration with Acaraki, aimed at preserving ancestral heritage for younger generations.

The Dharmawangsa Jakarta आयोजित the event as part of its commitment to supporting the growth of the creative industry while preserving Indonesia’s rich traditions for the wider community.

Also present at the Easter Fair were representatives from various institutions, including stakeholders in MSMEs, cooperatives, labor, and education sectors, along with the Sinema Kapsul team. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Special Staff to the Minister of Creative Economy Jago Anggara, Director of Architecture and Design Sabar Norma Megawati Panjaitan, and Expert Staff Dahan Esha Putera.
