“I am delighted to see so many local brands receiving support from JSD. This proves that our local brands have great potential to compete in the international market,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during her visit to the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), where JSD was held on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

JSD, a platform that has been around since 2016, focuses on sneaker culture and related subcultures. This year, JSD featured 109 booths, with 80 percent of them showcasing Indonesian local brands.

Meanwhile, Co-Founder of Infia and Jakarta Sneakers Day, Andrey Noelfry, highlighted that the dominance of local brands at this year’s JSD reflects the significant development of Indonesia’s sneaker industry. Of the total 109 booths, 80 percent featured local products, making Indonesia one of the countries with the highest number of local sneaker brands in Southeast Asia.

“This year, the enthusiasm from local brands has been incredible. With a larger venue, many local brands wanted to participate, leading to an 80 percent proportion of local brands. Indonesia might be one of the countries with the most local sneaker brands in Southeast Asia,” said Andrey.
