This message was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar during her visit to the Meiro Collectionart exhibition titled ‘Untold Stories’ over the weekend. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene stated that the exhibition aligns with the Ministry of Creative Economy goal of positioning the creative economy as the new engine of growth for Indonesia's economy.
“Ministry of Creative Economy will continue to support every artist and creative economy player so we can grow together,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene at the exhibition held at Ranuza Art Hub, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

The exhibition showcased art toys by artists from various countries, including France, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and of course, Indonesia. Beyond its visual appeal, ‘Untold Stories’ is expected to serve as a platform for discussion and collaboration that strengthens Indonesia’s art ecosystem.
“I am a toy enthusiast, and I understand that turning a hobby into a profession is no easy feat. But we must believe that the creative economy has indeed become the new engine of growth,” she added.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that creative economy players—such as those featured in the exhibition—deserve a broader platform. The art toys on display, she noted, are clear evidence of the high artistic value possessed by Indonesian artists, as well as their global recognition.
“Indonesia is not merely a market but a true creator. The collaboration shown today proves that we are capable of transforming artworks from paintings into sculptures using world-class techniques,” she stated.

“Our creative products have gained global recognition from collectible toys in Hong Kong and the U.S. to our participation in the Osaka Expo with locally made limited-edition works. This is proof that Indonesia is not only rich in natural resources but also boasts extraordinary creative potential,” added Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene, who was accompanied by Acting Director of Visual and Performing Arts at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Dadam Mahdar.

In parallel, Irene highlighted the ministry’s critical role in building public awareness of the importance of the creative economy. Support from all sectors, she stressed, is vital in achieving this goal.
“We want to ensure that creativity is celebrated and valued while providing opportunities for creators to grow further. This proves that in the future, Indonesia is cool—and we should be proud of the potential we have,” she concluded.
