“This Brightspot Market can be a source of inspiration for creative economy fighters who are looking for ideas, places to eat, and hangout spots at the same time. The event is also suitable for all ages since there are several areas to visit, ranging from the kids’ area, retail, music-sports-hobbies, to the food and beverages area. Everything unique can be found here,” said Deputy Minister Irene at the event held at Landmark Building, Sudirman, Jakarta, on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Deputy Minister Irene’s presence also signified her support for local brands to gain more recognition. She expressed her belief that creative economy fighters continue to grow with innovative products and works that can be enjoyed by diverse audiences.

She further highlighted that events like this help increase awareness and interest in local products. One brand that caught her attention was local seasoning brand Royco, which offered an engaging experience at the “Tolak Hambar Lounge,” featuring activities such as storytelling with Ayam Roy, distributing #TolakHambar charm merchandise, and selling exclusive tote bags and tees in collaboration with The Goods Dept and Royco.
“Royco used to be seen only as a household brand known by mothers. Here, we can see Royco in a different light. Their booth activation strongly resonates with the creative economy, as they offer something relevant to younger generations, gaining significant attention from Brightspot Market visitors this year,” stated Deputy Minister Irene.
First launched in 2009 at Plaza Indonesia, Brightspot Market has since moved to more strategic locations accessible by public transport, such as Transjakarta buses and Jakarta MRT. Along with the growth of businesses from various creative economy subsectors, a total of 320 brands enlivened this year’s event, held over two weeks: May 29 to June 1, 2025 (first week) and June 5 to 8, 2025 (second week).

The spirit of creativity and innovation continues to evolve year by year, bringing futuristic experiences that guide visitors through the journey of local creativity across time. Brightspot Market 2025 presents everything from fashion, accessories, bags, footwear, perfumes, makeup, vinyl records, design works or crafts, art installations, to entertainment,” said Anton Wirjono, founder of Brightspot Market.
