“JF3 has become an ecosystem that combines and presents beauty as a fashion decider, allowing French collections to reach wider audiences. This fashion show serves as a source of inspiration for Indonesian designers to bring our fashion industry to greater heights. We must also acknowledge that Indonesia’s fashion ecosystem is ready and deserves global recognition,” said Deputy Minister Irene during the event at La Piazza, Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
The fashion show, themed La Nouvelle Écriture, was highlighted by the Deputy Minister as important for nurturing local talent, particularly in the fashion subsector. She noted that fashion holds significant growth potential and deserves global recognition for its creativity, style, and originality—all of which can expand into sustainable business opportunities. She further emphasized that Indonesia’s talented fashion designers can also contribute to cultural diplomacy.

“JF3 is not just about planning behind the scenes. Indonesia does not only have culture and designers, but also material and craftsmanship that we must preserve. With the arrival of designers from France, we should not hesitate to move toward the global stage. Indonesian fashion must not only be preserved but also showcased to the world,” Irene added, accompanied by Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu.
At the same event, Fashion Director Romi Astuti underlined JF3 as an important momentum to celebrate the friendship and diplomatic ties between Indonesia and France, particularly within the creative industries.
“This fashion show is extraordinary as a platform for exchanging insights on fashion between nations while also celebrating 75 years of Indonesia–France relations through creative collaboration,” said Romi Astuti.

Meanwhile, JF3 Chairman Soegianto Nagaria reaffirmed JF3’s commitment to contributing to the advancement of Indonesia’s fashion industry. He also highlighted the Indonesia–France collaboration, which has brought fresh perspectives to the fashion stage—beyond aesthetics—toward shaping a more accessible fashion industry.
“Today, we celebrate not only creativity and fashion but also the enduring friendship between Indonesia and France. JF3 remains committed to being more than just a fashion stage. It is about fostering dialogue across cultures and generations to safeguard tradition and innovation.
Let us enjoy this evening and continue building a future for a fashion industry that unites everyone,” Soegianto stated.

In line with this, French Ambassador Fabien Penone emphasized that the spirit of collaboration represents a continuation of economic partnerships, following several recent state-level engagements, including French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Indonesia in May 2025 and Indonesia’s participation in Bastille Day in July 2025 in France.
“JF3 is a fashion show that celebrates bold visions, passion, and new narratives to present today’s French fashion scene. The relationship between France and Indonesia is growing rapidly and strongly. Long-term partnerships between the two nations are being developed, covering security, education, culture, and the creative economy. There is vast potential for collaboration in fashion, design, video games, gastronomy, cinema, and music. We are confident that more ideas and creative opportunities will emerge through this partnership,” said Ambassador Penone.

By studying the works of French designers, Indonesian designers can develop more distinctive and refined styles while enriching the country’s fashion heritage. The three French designers who brought European fashion to the JF3 stage were:
● Ornella Jude Ferrari, presenting the J. Simone label with a collection full of energy and urban tension, balancing strength and softness in her models’ expression.
● Louise Marcaud, showcasing her Retrogade collection, highlighting a balance between power and subtlety to reveal the unique character of every woman.
