Jakarta, 26 September 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar attended a Joint Prayer for National Harmony held in Jakarta, as part of the Wahana Negara Raharja (WNR) activities. The event underscores that interfaith harmony is not merely an ideal, but a fundamental foundation for maintaining Indonesia’s national unity.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menghadiri Doa Bersama untuk Kerukunan Bangsa yang digelar di Jakarta sebagai bagian dari rangkaian kegiatan Wahana Negara Raharja (WNR), Jakarta, Jumat (26/09/2025).
The event coincided with two significant milestones: the 20th anniversary of Hoseiji Temple and the 60th anniversary of the Nichiren Shoshu Buddha Dharma Indonesia (MNSBDI). Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that the prayer reinforces the importance of togetherness and tolerance as a national strength.
“Through this joint prayer, we reaffirm that unity and tolerance are the greatest strengths of Indonesia. The Ministry of Creative Economy supports initiatives that not only preserve cultural heritage but also empower communities, ensuring that local wisdom continues to thrive and inspire future generations,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene on Friday, 26 September 2025.
Meanwhile, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar expressed appreciation for MNSBDI’s dedication in guiding the Buddhist community and contributing through various programs.

“I am very pleased to participate in activities organized by the Buddhist community. From such events, we can find our true identity, which ultimately strengthens our nation. Humanist values are one, and these are the principles we continue to uphold together,” said Nasaruddin.
MNSBDI Chairman Pandita Utama Aiko Senosoenoto also thanked the government and all parties involved.
“This event is part of Wahana Negara Raharja and marks 60 years of MNSBDI’s journey. We are grateful to the government, relevant institutions, and over 5,000 participants from various regions across Indonesia,” he said.

As part of the activities, MNSBDI also launched the Jejak Buddha Nusantara website. This digital platform provides information on the history, archaeology, and cultural-based creative economy potential of Indonesia’s temples, supported by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Creative Economy, strengthening national identity in the digital era.
