Jakarta, 3 May, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency continues to promote the integration of the creative economy with global industries through the utilization of local intellectual property (IP) at the GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS, held on May 1–3, 2026, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, attended the GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, on Sunday (3/5/2026).
“This event is not just a competition, but also highly inclusive. What matters is that we dare to dream, because dreams can become reality, and this is the stage,” said Deputy Minister Irene Umar on Sunday (3/5).
At the event, the Ministry of Creative Economy collaborated with Radical Motorsport, Sekuya EVOS Racing, Maxdecal, and IP company TaleX to showcase the local IP Starla X Roar on the livery of race cars. The IP was used by Erika Richardo and Jheremy Owen, who competed in the Radical Time Attack session, a race format focused on achieving the fastest lap time.
Their participation symbolizes a transformation within the creative economy ecosystem. Previously known as creators who painted race cars in similar events, both have now stepped onto the international racing circuit as drivers. This shift demonstrates how creativity can open new career pathways, even into entirely different professional sectors.
“Indonesia shows that we are an inclusive country, with open opportunities for everyone. Anyone can dare to dream and make it happen,” the Deputy Minister added.

The Ministry of Creative Economy views the event not only as a competition platform but also as a demonstration of the integration between the creative economy, sports, and tourism within a unified ecosystem. The development of the Mandalika area by the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) further strengthens Indonesia’s position as a host of international events.
In addition to showcasing IP collaboration, this year’s event also featured the Krida Agya One Make Race (OMR) Kartini Race, providing a platform for female racers. This program reinforces the message of equality while encouraging the regeneration of female talent within the national motorsport ecosystem.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of all stakeholders in supporting the success of the event. According to her, contributions from behind-the-scenes teams are essential in delivering global standards.
“Every role, including those behind the scenes, plays a significant part. This is a global stage, and every effort contributes to how Indonesia is represented to the world,” she said.

This collaboration between local IP, creative talent, and global platforms is considered a strategic step in opening new opportunities for the national creative industry. The Ministry of Creative Economy believes that through consistent cross-sector collaboration and the courage of talents to push boundaries, Indonesia will not only serve as a market but also emerge as a key player shaping the future direction of the global creative industry.
