The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, visited the production facilities of PT Haldin Pacific Semesta in Cibitung, Bekasi, Wednesday (14 January 2026).
“I am truly proud to see an industry in Indonesia that is 100 percent driven by innovation and has been developed for more than 30 years. This is what the President refers to as resilience—not only food resilience, but also strategic commodities such as tea and coffee,” said Deputy Minister Irene at the site on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
As part of the Haldin Group, Haldin Natural plays a role in providing precise and consistent natural building blocks for the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, including food, beverages, health, beauty, and personal care. This approach enables Indonesia’s rich biodiversity to be more readily utilized as a foundation for consumer product innovation.
This role is further strengthened by Haldin Foods, which delivers natural food ingredient solutions for food service needs and large-scale culinary applications. By focusing on performance, consistency, and efficiency, Haldin Foods addresses the demands of professional kitchens and the rapidly growing food and beverage business sector.
Beyond this, Haldin has also developed Haldin X, an innovation enabler platform for startups and challenger brands. Through Haldin X, early-stage businesses receive comprehensive support ranging from idea development and formulation to production, allowing innovation to be realized more quickly into market-ready products. This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem and encourage the emergence of new brands based on local innovation.

Deputy Minister Irene also assessed Haldin as a concrete example of how domestic industries can build long-term competitiveness through strengthened downstream processing. Haldin is viewed as a national processing industry that has grown consistently on the basis of innovation, research, and value chain integration.
In addition, Deputy Minister Irene emphasized that the Ministry of Creative Economy opens opportunities for collaboration between the food industry and the creative economy ecosystem, particularly for growing culinary entrepreneurs.
“We want business actors to scale up and enter stronger supply chains through industrial partnerships,” she added.
At the same location, CEO and Founder of PT Haldin Pacific Semesta, Alisjahbana Haliman, explained that Haldin’s transformation has been built on strengthening assets, technology, and intellectual property. Complementing this approach, Haldin has also introduced Talasi, a social enterprise initiative focusing on consumer products such as coffee, cashew nuts, and honey sourced from various regions across Indonesia. Talasi emphasizes more inclusive relationships with farmers and sustainable practices at the upstream level.
“We are laying the foundation so that the value chain can be integrated from upstream to downstream, while also opening space for collaboration with business actors who wish to grow together,” he said.
