Jakarta, February 21, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, urged young farmers to utilize technology to achieve food self-sufficiency. According to Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene, shifting the mindset of farmers to become agripreneurs is crucial.

"A mindset transformation is needed—from being laborers to becoming agricultural entrepreneurs," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene at the Young Farmers School II event held at Hotel Sultan, Jakarta, on Friday, February 21, 2025.
This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene in the presence of the Chairman of Indonesian Young Farmers Association, G Budisatrio Djiwandono, and Secretary General of Indonesian Young Farmers Association, R.S. Suroyo, who also attended the event. The Deputy Minister emphasized that young farmers' awareness of technology certainly requires mentorship to be maximized.

"The use of blockchain can track the journey of agricultural products from farmers to consumers, ensuring transparency and authenticity," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.
In her presentation, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene highlighted that farmers are the heroes of food security. This crucial role of farmers, according to Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene, needs to be supported by technology and innovation.
"Agriculture plays a vital role in national resilience, especially in times of crisis," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.
